After advancing his cultivation and handing over the garrison, Wang Chen accompanied Zuo Xiaomo to the Outer Sect assessment, where the teleportation array separated them in an unmapped region.

• Wang Chen accepted Xu Xinlan’s invitation, exposed Third Master Chen’s harassment, and spent the night with Xu Xinlan after she revealed her scheme and her trust in him.
• Wang Chen secured Xu Xinlan’s Essence of Five Elements cavern, helped Qiu Zhong overcome a heart demon and reach Purple Mansion, and rejected Liang Xun’s attempt to make him abandon Zuo Xiaomo.

Wang Chen survived the Nine Dragon Underground Palace, returned to the West Sea Sect, and advanced his lightning cultivation with the Life-Giving Creation Cauldron. He then accepted a three-year post in Great Ying, where he discovered that the Wu Family controlled the pavilion he had been assigned to lead.

• Wang Chen fought his way through the hills and ruined city, killed Yang Yi and a City God statue, then claimed the Treasure Pavilion’s white jade box and returned to the Nine Dragon Grand Hall.
• Wang Chen reunited with Zuo Xiaomo and Xu Xinlan, opened the jade box to reveal Great Sun True Fire, and awakened Little Cauldron by removing the cauldron’s final seal.
• Wang Chen repaired the Crimson Ni Sword, completed his bandit mission, chose the Nine Heavens Divine Thunder, and comprehended it in the Ancestor Hall.
• Wang Chen refused to join Wu Yanqiu and Senior Brother Zhao’s Thunder Beast hunt, instead buying Thunderstone and refining it into Lightning Crystals to advance his lightning method.

• Wang Chen punished Xiang Yingzhe for defying his orders, used an Imprint Stone recording to prove the offense, and transferred Xiang Yingzhe’s territory to Xi Manyun.
• Wang Chen secured the Xi Family’s support, reorganized the pavilion, and explored Daying City in disguise, where he met Meng Fei and discovered the children living in poverty beneath the city.
• Wang Chen killed the White Wolf Gang members who attacked Meng Fei’s family, brought the children to the pavilion, and began teaching Meng Fei and his siblings cultivation and martial arts.

Wang Chen defended Zhensha Pass, defeated Tu Qi in a Life-and-Death Duel, and helped stop a Sand Locust assault by finding and killing the Locust Child. The creature’s death transported him into a trap set by a Heavenly Dragon Temple Zen Master, but Wang Chen escaped and returned to Daying City with evidence for the sect.

• Luo Han assigned Wang Chen to guard Zhensha Pass, where Wang Chen studied the Sand People and used the Seven Star Pavilion to detect and kill hunter cultivators, including Jin Shangzhi.
• Kou Shihai recruited Wang Chen to help slay Sand Shamans and gave him a damaged Upper Clarity Qiankun Mirror, which Wang Chen repaired and used to extend his search across the desert.
• After Wang Chen’s sword strikes terrorized the Sand People, Tu Qi challenged him to a Life-and-Death Duel, and Wang Chen killed him at Azure Water Lake despite the Beijia Spirit Leaf’s protection.
• Wang Chen returned to Zhensha Pass with the Nine-Ring Golden Buddhist Staff, revealed his Heavenly Dragon Vajra Righteous Dharma to Kou Shihai, and received the West Sea Sect’s rewards.
• After advancing to the mid stage of Purple Mansion cultivation, Wang Chen helped defend Zhensha Pass from a locust swarm and used a Prayer Heavenly Mystery Talisman to locate the Locust Child in the Wu Family residence.
• Wang Chen killed the Locust Child, but a blood-red formation transported him to a desert, where a Heavenly Dragon Temple Zen Master ambushed him, and Wang Chen escaped and hid until the Zen Master’s search ended.
• Wang Chen returned to Daying City after three days, showed Kou Shihai an Imprint Stone of the ambush, and recounted the incident to Xianyun True Person, Changhe True Person, and Ziyang True Person at the General Celestial Master Prefecture.
