Background and History
Chen Xin is the son of Chen Jianjun, leader of War Soul Hall and bearer of its inherited Seven Kill Sword martial soul. After Chen Xin becomes a Titled Douluo, his father challenges Spirit Hall High Priest Qian Daoliu, intending to show Chen Xin a path toward Level 99. Chen Xin fears the challenge will cost his father his life; Chen Jianjun dies in the battle 13 22.
Chen Jianjun had also accepted Tian Hao as a disciple. Tian Hao sends Chen Xin his father’s urn, then later meets him and presents the Jianjun Sword and Chen Jianjun’s transformed Asura Seven Kill Sword. Chen Xin accepts Tian Hao as his junior brother and joins Spirit Hall after Tian Hao offers cultivation assistance and a path toward godhood 32 68 69 70.
Chen Xin later gives Tian Hao the Seven Kill Token, containing War Soul Hall’s secret arts and cultivation insights, and takes responsibility for guiding his Sword Path. He develops a method for Tian Hao to temper his own sword intent against the Seven Kill Sword Intent remaining on the Jianjun Sword 85.

Personality
Chen Xin is devoted to sword cultivation and eager to test himself against powerful opponents. He welcomes the prospect of facing Tang Zhen at Level 99 and later looks forward to a proper duel with Tang Chen 238 300. As a teacher, he is demanding but attentive: he warns Tian Hao that training will be painful, then uses his Seven Kill Domain to help him break through a Sword Domain bottleneck 85 176.
He is also protective of Tian Hao. When Gu Rong and Ning Fengzhi act against his junior brother, Chen Xin confronts them, injures Gu Rong, and declares their friendship over. He accepts Ning Fengzhi’s compensation rather than attacking the rest of the sect 244 245.

Chen Xin opens a secret realm called the Sword Dimension using accumulated ancestral domains and Seven Kill Sword Intent together with God Realm Divine Sense. Although he has reached Level 100, he says he cannot open it alone without outside assistance 500 510 512.
