Zabuza's legs trembled uncontrollably. The way he looked at the seemingly kind Sound Shadow before him was as though he were staring at a snake from hell.
Cold.
Ruthless.
Powerful.
Before him, Zabuza was like a defenseless frog with broken legs, as if he would be swallowed whole in the next second.
Zabuza's pupils contracted as he trembled—his entire body shook uncontrollably. The last time he had felt this way was before he had become a ninja.
"Watch the match carefully!"
The Sound Shadow turned away and shifted his gaze back to the arena.
Huff.
As the Sound Shadow looked away, Zabuza finally let out a long breath. The immense pressure vanished along with it.
By now, Zabuza was drenched in sweat. After casting a fearful glance at the Sound Shadow, he hurriedly ran to the other side.
In the arena
The mist gradually dispersed, revealing an incredibly bizarre sight before everyone.
Wow!
The crowd cried out in surprise. A massive white snake had coiled itself into a pile-of-shit shape, shielding Sasuke within its body.
Although the white snake's body was covered in Ice Needles, it did not seem to care in the slightest. Its scarlet tongue flicked in and out as it stared icily at Haku within the central Ice Mirror.
Summoning Jutsu?
The crowd could not help but exclaim. They had not expected Sasuke, a mere Genin, to have mastered the Summoning Jutsu. He truly was a genius.
In the stands
Jiraiya and Tsunade watched Sasuke in the arena with grave expressions. The feeling that snake gave them was far too familiar—Orochimaru!
Bang!
The white snake turned into a cloud of smoke and vanished.
"Hmph, so this is your real body."
Sasuke sneered. His left hand lowered, and blue Chakra instantly gathered in his palm.
