A Friend Who Can Understand

"You kept refusing to answer, what could I do?"

Tony Stark felt a little guilty hearing this, but he still stubbornly said.

"Forget it, what do you want me for?"

Seeing Tony still being stubborn, Harvey couldn't be bothered to dwell on the issue and asked directly.

"It's rare to get through to you, why don't you come over to my place to chat?"

"I have some things I want you to see."

His most frequently used was the Mark II, but in the past month, his Marks had long surpassed the second version; he had improved them to the Mark V.

However, these were things only he knew.

Tony Stark thought of Harvey Anberaka, imagining Harvey's admiration for his suits in his laboratory.

This brought a smile to Tony Stark's face.

"Is there any food?"

Seeing Tony Stark actually extend an invitation, Harvey considered it for a moment and retorted.

"Food?"

"Harvey Anberaka, I rarely invite people to my home."

"I invite you over, and you ask me if there's food?"

But Tony Stark quickly remembered a rumor circulating in New York's high society.

Harvey Anberaka's stomach was a bottomless pit, and this rumor originated from Stark's charity ball a month ago.

"Have someone prepare a hundred-person dinner for me first, I'll be there soon."

"Jarvis, help me contact a five-star hotel chef and have them prepare it and deliver it as quickly as possible."

"Excluding the cost of the food, I'll give each of them a five-thousand USD rush fee."

Tony Stark said.

He didn't want Harvey Anberaka to come to his house and show disdain for his hospitality.

"Understood, sir."

Jarvis immediately went to make the contact.

In fact, Tony Stark wasn't just trying to show off to Harvey Anberaka.

"It's Mr. Harvey Anberaka; he's on his way here."

Jarvis answered truthfully.

"When did they become friends?"

She wasn't unfamiliar with Harvey Anberaka, but she hadn't heard that Tony had such a deep friendship with him.

"In the past month."

Jarvis replied again.

"?"

Pepper didn't understand for a moment, hearing Jarvis's somewhat vague answer.

"No need to ask further. In short, Harvey Anberaka is coming over as a guest."

"A lot of food will be delivered later, please help receive it."

Tony Stark interrupted Pepper's further curiosity and instructed her directly.

"That food is prepared for Mr. Harvey Anberaka."

She often saw various handsome white men, but she rarely saw handsome Asian men.

Tony Stark specifically instructed as he led Harvey Anberaka downstairs.

"Keeping her in the dark, it seems the matter you want to discuss with me isn't just about your latest technological development."

As Harvey walked down the stairs with Tony Stark, he spoke.

"It seems I can't hide anything from you, but since you've guessed what I'm about to discuss, you also know that those things are beyond her understanding."

Tony Stark showed a hint of helplessness upon realizing that his thoughts had been seen through with just a single sentence from Harvey.

"It's not that you think she can't understand, but rather that you feel she understands but cannot comprehend you."

Upon hearing this, Harvey glanced at Pepper, who was standing nearby, watching them with curiosity, and then at Tony Stark, who seemed to have something on his mind.

"It's not just her; many people probably wouldn't understand, which is why I've come to you."

Tony Stark let out a slight sigh at these somewhat meaningful words and spoke.

"Then I shall listen with great interest."

Harvey paused at this, a smile appearing on his face, and said.

"Jarvis, those two really do seem like friends."

Although Pepper couldn't follow them down or hear clearly, she saw that Tony and Harvey Anberaka had started talking even before descending into the underground research lab.

"Sir is not good at expressing his emotions, but my judgment will not be wrong."

Jarvis's words carried a hint of pride.

Although he didn't know Harvey Anberaka very well, Harvey Anberaka, who could make Sir continuously and persistently instruct him to make contact for a month.

Must surely share common ground with Mr. Tony Stark in some aspect.
