Saint Nusjuro froze the tsunami threatening Sabaody Archipelago, while the World Government’s forces celebrated their apparent advantage. Issho and Enel ambushed Kizaru after Borsalino destroyed Issho’s falling meteor, and the chapter ended with Saturn roaring at Whitebeard as space seemed to crack.
Whitebeard attacked the World Government’s artillery positions, but five powerful defenders stopped his blow as the World Alliance Army broke through the frozen tsunamis and prepared to assault Sabaody Archipelago. Both sides rallied for the world war about to begin.
The battle for Sabaody Archipelago erupted as the Navy and its enemies clashed across the sea and sky. Whitebeard and Kaido badly wounded Garling Saint, who regenerated, while a hidden base in the East Blue began to shake beneath a brewing storm.
Caesar Clown’s Black Sun emerged over the East Blue, impressing allies and stirring Vinsmoke Judge’s jealousy before disappearing into the storm. As the war intensified around Sabaody and Mary Geoise, Roy watched both battlefields from Pluton.
Roy watched the battles at Sabaody Archipelago and in the New World, waiting for Imu and Uranus to appear so he could use Pluton and the Black Sun to destroy the World Government and World Alliance Army. As a World Alliance fleet and Golden Lion’s forces closed in on Sabaody, the defenders opened fire and Aokiji and Akainu’s clash peaked.
Aokiji and Akainu fought as Golden Lion and Ace brought the World Alliance Army toward Sabaody, while the Blackbeard Pirates infiltrated the port. The World Government forces appeared to retreat as Sengoku watched the advancing fleet and waited for the expected strike from Uranus.
The World Alliance Army advanced through Sabaody as Enel prepared a devastating attack, while Blackbeard Pirates officers watched and coveted his Rumble-Rumble Fruit. In a hidden warehouse, a projection Den Den Mushi began broadcasting the New World battlefield, awakening a mysterious presence that recognized the drumming and spoke of Joy Boy.
An explosion at the Sabaody Archipelago revealed the ancient robot Emeth, alarming Saint Saturn and drawing Imu’s attention while the battle continued. Roy watched from Pluto as its reactor finished charging, leaving him ready to attack and waiting to see how Imu would respond.
After Uranus struck near the New World, the resulting underwater current devastated Fish-Man Island and erupted through the sea openings around the frozen battlefield and Sabaody Archipelago. Roy prepared Pluton for the coming battle while the surging seawater and debris killed and endangered fighters across the battlefield.
Uranus devastated the battlefield, leaving fewer than twenty badly wounded survivors who charged toward the flying Ancient Weapon. Inside Uranus, Blackbeard battled Imu and seized on Imu’s distraction to ensnare him while Pluto’s attack threatened the vessel.
Roy ordered Pluton to attack Uranus after sensing that the Ancient Weapon was malfunctioning. Pluton's cannon pierced Uranus and blasted the Red Line Continent, while a dark creature formed inside Uranus and the damaged fortress rose toward a black sphere near the edge of space.
Caesar Clown launched Black Sun’s attack, and its strikes combined with Pluton’s destroyed the Red Line Continent and devastated the world. Roy led the New Century Alliance through a century of reconstruction and expansion; after Caesar found One Piece, Roy declared that their future lay in the Great Star Sea.
