"Weisheng!" Ji Qingyue called out in concern, frowning at a loss.
She couldn't understand it. They were supposed to be on the same side, so why had Liu struck so hard?

"Nothing. That was part of the background check too. I meant no harm." Liu Patrol Envoy looked at Li Tianming calmly, then waved a hand. "I've seen everything I wanted to see. They can leave now, and so can the two princesses. I have more important matters to discuss with you."
Jiang Feiling and Weisheng Moran stopped and stared straight at Liu Patrol Envoy, as though unwilling to leave.
In truth, they had already discussed it with Li Tianming. They needed to make the act convincing.
