Bai Ning Bing was Qing Mao Mountain’s foremost genius and the foundation of Bai Family Village’s rise. His Northern Darkness Ice Soul Body gave him 100% true essence and extraordinary cultivation speed, but also placed his aperture under constant risk of collapse. Cultivating strengthened his aperture temporarily, while each higher realm increased the danger of eventual self-destruction. This certainty of an early death shaped his reckless, unrestrained disposition. 135 139

During the wolf tide, he killed both Gu Masters and beasts without hesitation, took Xiong Zhan’s Forceful Seize Gu, and fought Xiong Li’s group while holding back his Rank 3 Gu worms. After accepting his fate more calmly, Bai Ning Bing confronted the allied Gu Yue and Xiong forces, displaying combat power close to a Rank 4 Gu Master despite being Rank 3. In Shang Clan City, Bai Ning Bing secretly sought the Plain Hand Physician’s help, successfully removing the Poison Oath Gu despite a one-third risk of death. He then contacted Tie Ruo Nan and plotted against Fang Yuan. At Three Kings Mountain, he concealed this betrayal while managing the Dog King Inheritance; after protecting Fang Yuan from Tie Ruo Nan during the refinement of the Second Aperture Gu, he attacked Fang Yuan himself. Elder Yan Shi later preserved Bai Ning Bing’s life and elevated him to Gu Immortal status, recruiting him as a useful but unwilling piece of Shadow Sect.
