Background / History
Shrek Academy is regarded as the continent’s foremost academy and historically carried the title of the “Unfallen Shrek.” Its rise was tied to the All-Continent Advanced Soul Master Elite Competition, where the first generation of Shrek Seven Monsters made its debut. It maintained a military force within Shrek City, including 30,000 troops and 5,000 mecha masters, while its Sea God Pavilion elders held sufficient influence to command the Federation’s respect 114 198.
The academy’s structure centered on its prestigious Inner Court. Inner Court students had flexible study arrangements and selected their own courses and teachers; graduation required becoming a Two-Word Battle Armor master. Many qualified graduates chose to remain at the academy as cultivators or teachers rather than leave 152.
Shrek maintained a close relationship with the Tang Sect. The academy gave the sect preferential access to recruit graduates who did not enter the Inner Court, though students retained the final choice of affiliation 65.
Organization and Traditions
Sea God Pavilion
The Sea God Pavilion was the academy’s highest authority. Its elders controlled Shrek City and were recognized even by the Federation; the pavilion’s destruction was considered the loss of Shrek’s institutional foundation 155 205.
Inner and Outer Courts
- Outer Court — The standard student body. Students who became One-Word Battle Armorists could seek entry into the Inner Court.
- Inner Court — The academy’s most prestigious division, with flexible instruction and exceptionally demanding graduation requirements 152.
- Students who missed the usual Inner Court entry window could still receive a make-up examination if they became Two-Word Battle Armorists before age thirty and had not yet reached Outer Court graduation age 155.
Shrek Seven Monsters
The Shrek Seven Monsters title is awarded cautiously, either to exceptional geniuses or to students who make major contributions to the academy. Once confirmed, a generation retains the title until voluntarily relinquishing it, entering the Sea God Pavilion, or dying 151.
The generation led by Guyue—Guyue, Tang Wulin, Ye Xinglan, Xu Lizhi, Yue Zhengyu, Xie Xie, and Xu Xiaoyan—had to accept challenges from all teams below the sixth ring for a year. They defeated every challenger, confirming their title 151.
Sea God’s Fate Blind Date Event
The Sea God’s Fate Blind Date Event is a ten-thousand-year Inner Court tradition for students over eighteen. It serves both as a matchmaking event and a means of retaining exceptional talent within the academy 154.
- Only Inner Court disciples may participate.
- Eligible Outer Court students may enter the Inner Court as spectators for the event 155.
- Participants compete to secure lotus-leaf positions on Sea God Lake before the matchmaking stages begin 157.

Major Incidents
Tianhai Alliance Competition
A junior Shrek team, including Xu Lizhi and Ye Xinglan, defeated the Tianhai Alliance’s previous youth-group champions in an exhibition match in under a minute despite competing across age groups 34.
Demon Legion Invasion
During a holiday, the Demon Legion invaded through nine Demon Gates, drawn by the dark energy absorbed by Lin Xiuran. Shrek’s reduced holiday manpower faced immense pressure from two Ultimate Douluo-level Demon Lords, nine Super Douluo-level Greater Demons, and a force exceeding 30,000 demons 90.
The invasion escalated when three further Demon Lords arrived, leaving Shrek to confront the Demon Plane’s five strongest beings alongside countless demons 93.
Public Pressure and the Xu Family Case
Following the annihilation of the Xu family, public suspicion fell upon Lin Xiuran and, by extension, Shrek Academy. The academy’s Sea God Pavilion elders summoned him to Sea God Island for questioning, while the incident intensified existing Federation panic over Evil Soul Master attacks 130 131.
Leng Yulai later revealed that she had orchestrated public opinion against Shrek and caused the Xu family’s destruction 137.
Holy Spirit Cult Assault
The Holy Spirit Cult and its elite Evil Soul Masters launched a large-scale siege targeting Lin Xiuran. Shrek teachers, elders, disciples, and Tang Sect forces fought jointly; Long Yeyue led the senior defenders, while students including Wu Siduo, Xie Xie, Na'er, Xu Mier, and Long Yue protected Lin Xiuran 173 176.
The attack escalated with the arrival of the Ghost Emperor and Halosa. Halosa’s Netherworld Rebirth Domain filled the Inner Court with undead, while his Twelve Death Knights each possessed Three-Word Battle Armor and Rank 95 Super Douluo-level power 174 176 179.
Destruction of Shrek City
The Holy Spirit Cult destroyed Shrek City using two Grade Twelve God-Slaying Fixed Soul Guidance Cannon Shells, followed by further bombardment. The attack annihilated the city, killed or injured more than ten million people, and claimed more than twenty Titled Douluo from Shrek Academy 198 213.
The Sea God Pavilion was lost, and surviving Inner and Outer Court students were reduced to a small group. Although graduates called for rebuilding, the Federation initially showed no intent to restore Shrek City 205 213.
Reconstruction
Shrek Academy’s reconstruction proceeded smoothly once external interference subsided. Tang Wulin and the Shrek Seven Monsters planned to obtain life energy from the Star Dou Great Forest to purify Sea God Lake, a crucial step in restoration 270.
Under the Shrek Seven Monsters’ leadership, the academy was eventually rebuilt and resumed recruiting students. The process faced external pressure and internal difficulties, but the rebuilt academy no longer held its former unmatched prestige 280 324.
