Background / History

The Immortal Palace began as an alliance formed in the Xiao Family's council hall. Xiao Lin chose its name and became its sole Palace Lord, with Hai Bodong, Jia Xing Tian, Fa Ma, and others serving on the Elder Council. Its stated purpose was to restore the Jia Ma Empire to greatness. 52

Its first crisis came immediately, when Poison Masters from the Chuyun Empire crossed the border. Xiao Lin defined the invasion as an offense against both the Jia Ma Empire and the new organization, then personally went to the front with Hai Bodong and Mu Chen. To retaliate against the Poison Sect and establish the Palace's reputation, he adopted the masked identity of the Wind Hall Master. 53 54

The Palace expanded rapidly after Heavenly Fire Venerable and Yao Lao joined, creating the Heavenly Fire Hall and Medicine Hall. Its alliance with Xingyun Pavilion was explicitly recognized as one in which both parties would “advance and retreat together.” 81 86 Its subsequent conflicts with Soul Hall and Fenglei Pavilion transformed it from a Northwest power into a force feared across Middle Continent. 87 92 126

In the Tian Xuan Continent era, Xiao Lin established the Immortal Palace in the heart of the Demon Region. The new sect was protected by desolate force so severe that even experts beyond the Wheel Turning Realm could not reach its core. Though the stronghold initially held only six people including Xiao Lin, Black Pupil and Fentian assisted in its development and recruitment. 197 198

The Palace's standing in East Xuan Region rose sharply after it participated in Yuan Sect's destruction. Xiao Lin personally killed Tian Yuanzi, Di Yuanzi, and Ren Yuanzi, while Black Pupil and Fentian killed five Wheel Turning Realm experts. The organization then acquired most of Yuan Sect's assets and treasures. 205

After entering the Great Thousand World, Xiao Lin renamed the Hundred Battles Domain as the Immortal Palace Domain. The Palace won the Great Hunt, incorporated most of the Northern Realm, and moved its headquarters to the region's center. 248 261 It later became Tianluo Continent's undisputed ruler and raised its headquarters into an aerial sacred city forged by Xiao Lin, two of his avatars, Lin Dong, and Xiao Yan. 304
