The Great Thousand World is a vast upper realm where planes intersect and myriad races flourish. It stands above lower worlds such as the Dou Qi Continent and Tian Xuan Continent; cultivators who ascend from those worlds can convert their native power into Spirit Energy and synchronize with its cultivation system. 117 197 225

Ancient era

The Great Thousand World faced a catastrophic invasion by the Outer-domain Evil Clan. The Immortal Emperor united its races and powers, established the Great Thousand Palace, and forged the Great Thousand Covenant to resist the invasion. 298 300 341

The decisive battle took place on the then-prosperous Northern Wilderness Continent. Though the Immortal Emperor sealed the Heavenly Evil God, the conflict shattered the continent into the desolate Hill of Northern Wilderness. 298 341

The Heavenly Evil God’s seal was not wholly forced: as an outsider, it was subject to the world’s natural suppression, which increases with an invader’s strength. It accepted confinement for forty-nine thousand years in order to gradually merge its aura with the Great Thousand World. 347

Ascension of lower realms

The Great Thousand World is the upper realm of the Tian Xuan Continent and receives ascenders from lower planes. Upon arrival, ascenders may be scattered by the world’s higher rules and must adapt by converting their original energy into Spirit Energy. 197 225

A Dou God from the Dou Qi Continent generally synchronizes to roughly the Earthly Sovereign level after converting their power, while weaker accompanying ascenders may begin around Ninth-grade Sovereign. 171 225

Lin Dong later opened an ascension gate for the Tian Xuan Continent’s strongest experts, bringing them into the Great Thousand World. 244

War against the Outer-domain Evil Clan

The Great Thousand Palace convened an early Great Thousand Covenant at the Hill of Northern Wilderness to annihilate the Heavenly Evil God’s remaining imprint. The Outer-domain Evil Clan responded with invasions and attacks intended to disrupt the gathering. 340 342

At the covenant, the world’s peak powers activated the Great Thousand Demon Transformation Array. Xiao Lin entered the Heavenly Evil God’s prison, took control of the Azure Vault Ranking, pursued the fleeing deity into the void, and destroyed it. 342 343 348

Following the victory, Xiao Lin became the Ruler of the Great Thousand World. The Great Thousand Alliance launched a counteroffensive into the Demon Realm and pursued the surviving Outer-domain Evil Clans across the Great Thousand World and lower realms. 349

The loss or pollution of Spirit Energy is an existential threat to the world: the Outer-domain Evil Clan seeks to corrupt it, which would leave Spirit Energy cultivators powerless and unable to resist invasion. 251 270

Continental Power

Continents of sufficient scale accumulate Continental Power. It can enhance a cultivator’s body, foundation, soul perception, and affinity with the laws of heaven and earth; it also improves the likelihood of breaking into the Heavenly Sovereign Realm. 298
