Background / History

Gu Yue Na resides beneath a lake in the Land of Great Misfortune, where the fierce beasts regard her as their supreme Co-Lord. Su Chen identifies her by name, exposing her identity as the Silver Dragon King and the other half of the Dragon God; this revelation shocks Di Tian and the other fierce beasts. 122

She carries a massive Divine Realm-inflicted wound across her waist and abdomen. The injury has repeatedly reopened for tens of thousands of years, and she believes ordinary recovery would require ten thousand years of uninterrupted slumber. Su Chen's diluted Sage Mode Chakra partially heals it, making her recognize both his value and the possibility of challenging the Divine Realm. 123 125

Initially wary because Su Chen is human, Gu Yue Na fears that his growth could doom the Soul Beast race. His Ninjutsu, however, convinces her that a future without dependence on Soul Rings may be possible. She ultimately agrees to become connected to him through a Jinchuriki-like process, gaining access to his memories and learning that he originated in another world. 125 127

After forming their bond, Gu Yue Na creates Su Chen's third Soul Ring and uses the Creation Divinity to stabilize his dangerously surging power and aid the evolution of his Sharingan. The exertion worsens her condition, but Su Chen later uses Takamagahara to heal her injury substantially. 127 130

Following her recovery, she appoints Su Chen as a second Co-Lord of Soul Beasts and leaves the Star Dou Forest to remain close to him. Her decision is driven by both the need to protect him and her hope that Chakra can enable humans and Soul Beasts to coexist without Soul Ring hunting. 130 131
