Background / History

Xiao Bai served as Sea God's mount, Sea God Island's guardian beast, and the leader of the Demonic Soul Great White Sharks. When Su Chen's activities in the waters around Sea God Island caused major disturbances and many sharks were killed, she arrived to investigate personally. 200 201

She confronted Su Chen in the sea, where he used the Water Mirror Technique to create a replica capable of matching her movements and testing her limits. Though Xiao Bai proved capable of dissolving the replica's attack and demonstrated Titled Douluo-level combat ability, Su Chen escalated the battle with his Sage Art: Wood Release: True Several Thousand Hands. 200 201

Faced with the Thousand-Handed Buddha Statue's descending palms, Xiao Bai surrendered rather than be killed. She agreed to return to Sea God Island as Su Chen's informant and voluntarily opened her spiritual defenses so he could place a control mark on her. 201

Her surrender was initially a deception. Xiao Bai intended to feign submission, return to Sea God Island, and report Su Chen's activities to Poseidon. Su Chen anticipated this and used the Sharingan technique Kotoamatsukami in her Sea of Consciousness, turning her into a genuinely loyal subordinate. 202

As Su Chen's agent, Xiao Bai concealed events on Sea God Island from Poseidon, gathered intelligence about the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King, and delivered a staged report that drew Poseidon's attention to Bo Saixi's disappearance. 208 212 223 After Poseidon's death severed her connection to him, she openly aided Bibi Dong against Bo Saixi and warned Su Chen that Bo Saixi was attempting to seize the Sea God's position. 241

When Bo Saixi attacked her in rage, Xiao Bai transformed into her shark form and shielded Su Chen with her own body. She obeyed his order to move aside after he intervened and diverted Bo Saixi's attack. 242

Appearance

Xiao Bai's true form is an enormous Demon Soul Great White Shark, large enough that towering waves cannot fully conceal her. She can also assume a human form underwater. 200

Her strongest pre-control instinct is self-preservation. When Su Chen's Thousand-Handed Buddha Statue makes resistance futile, she immediately abandons her pride and offers submission. She later proves cunning enough to devise a false surrender, even hypnotizing herself so her outward thoughts and words would not expose her plan. 201 202

Following Kotoamatsukami, Xiao Bai's loyalty to Su Chen becomes sincere. She carries out espionage duties cheerfully, prioritizes his interests during the conflict with Bo Saixi, and attempts to protect him even when she believes herself to be the intended target. 202 241 242
