As the Shinobi Alliance gathered to face the Ten-Tails, Kitagawa Gen pursued his evolution while the truth behind the Sage of Six Paths, Black Zetsu, and Kaguya came to light. The arc ended with the Infinite Tsukuyomi activated and Isshiki, Urashiki, and Momoshiki beginning to revive as Kitagawa Gen prepared to confront them.

• Tobirama Senju and Hashirama Senju persuaded Madara Uchiha that the Sage of Six Paths had allowed generations of conflict to prepare the Shinobi World for the Ōtsutsuki threat.
• Kitagawa Gen invaded Isshiki’s sealed space, absorbed the Ten-Tails into his Divine Tree, and took Otsutsuki Shibai’s remains to advance his power.
• Madara Uchiha revealed the Hyuga relic’s account of the Sage’s plans, while Black Zetsu grew fearful that he had served Hagoromo’s purposes.
• Black Zetsu took control of Nagato and revealed that he had manipulated him into preparing Madara Uchiha’s revival, but Nagato’s power surged and he resisted.
• The Ten-Tails appeared, and Otsutsuki Genshiki arrived as Otsutsuki Nagato and Otsutsuki Obito took control of their vessels.
• Kitagawa Gen fought Hashirama Senju, Madara Uchiha, Tobirama Senju, and Minato Namikaze, then pinned Obito, Kimimaro, and Nagato as Naruto and Sasuke prepared to join the battle.
• Madara Uchiha absorbed the Ten-Tails, but Kitagawa Gen overwhelmed him and forced Black Zetsu to reveal that he had manipulated Madara to release Kaguya.
• Black Zetsu accused Hagoromo of plotting to free Kaguya, the Infinite Tsukuyomi activated, and Isshiki, Urashiki, and Momoshiki began reviving as Kitagawa Gen moved to confront them.
