Background / History

Alina was Talula’s close friend and one of the earliest, equally important initiators of the partisan movement. Talula regarded her presence as an “insurance” against Koschei’s influence, believing that the Black Serpent’s curse could not fully take hold while Alina remained at her side. 10

By the time Orson joined the settlement, Alina had fallen into a prolonged coma. Her absence compounded Talula’s fear that she had lost her original convictions and could no longer face the friend who had once guided her. 7 10

Orson used Soul Tuning to enter Alina’s soul and repair its subtle fracture. Within the soul space, he found her spiritual form whole despite her missing right hand; her Soul Score was calm, warm, and unusually pure. Alina awoke after the process, comforted Talula, and forgave her for what had happened. 12

After recovering, Alina returned to teaching the settlement’s children and became a stabilizing presence within the growing Reunion organization. She supported Talula’s changing methods not because of any particular ideology, but because she wanted to remain beside Talula herself. 13 15
