Hu Haoran seized control of Haori City, built its forces, and weakened the powers that dominated the region. After the Crimson Jade Mountain conflict, he moved against the Zhu Family and ended the volume pursuing Mu Sicheng near Dragon Soul Valley.

Arc 17Hualei Pavilion Rises

Hu Haoran subdued the Dragon Bone Gang, founded Hualei Pavilion, and trained in the Earth Domain before leading a group to Haori City. There, he set a plan in motion to expose the Four Great Powers’ abuses and gain a pretext to act against them.

  • Hu Haoran forced the Fengho Town Lord to pay a ransom, then brought the Boulder Mercenary Group with him to Dragon Bone Mountain.
  • Hu Haoran defeated Song Dalin, won the Dragon Bone Gang’s allegiance, and established Hualei Pavilion with Shen Mengyan as deputy pavilion master.

Arc 18Haori City’s New Guard

Hu Haoran took control of Haori City, executed its corrupt commanders, and built a city guard while preparing to break the Zhu Family’s hold over its resources. After capturing three Zhu retainers, he led a secret raid on the family’s medicinal convoy, where the battle for a fifty-thousand-year Void Lotus began.

  • Hu Haoran exposed the Four Great Commanders’ crimes, had them executed with the people’s support, took office as City Lord, and abolished personal taxes.
  • Hu Haoran opened City Guard recruitment and organized the recruits into specialized guards and a Reserve Army, placing Shi Danda in command and setting the strongest trainees challenging goals.

Hu Haoran weakened the Zhu Family, raided its pill pavilion, and trained his allies before capturing Zhu Tianguang and using him to plan a strike on a major shipment. As the Four Great Powers fought at Crimson Jade Mountain, Wu Chong and Zhao Yuanyi’s duel left both injured but still battling.

  • Xue Jinghong and Qian Duoxiang defeated Zhu Luanxin and Zhu Zhenming with help from Hu Haoran and Zhan Ya, then captured the Zhu Family fighters.

Arc 20Dragon Soul Valley Ambush

Hu Haoran subdued the forces behind the Crimson Jade Mountain conflict, then turned his attention to bringing the Zhu Family under his control. The arc ended with Hu Haoran and Zhu Zhenming closing in on Mu Sicheng after discovering Dragon Soul Valley.

  • Hu Haoran’s allies captured the Blood Sand Gang, Zhu Family, Zhao Family, and Berserk Gang fighters after the Soul Douluos fell, while Hu Haoran arranged for the subdued captives to serve as informants.
  • Zhao Guangxin pursued Hu Haoran, but Bloodhand Douluo interrupted them, and Hu Haoran and Zeng Xiao eventually captured both men and brought them under Hu Haoran’s control.
