Background / History

Liszt is the eldest son of Marquis Norman Moon and heir of the Moon Family, the borderlands’ second-oldest prominent noble house. The family is influential in borderland politics and maintains extensive ties to the Imperial Capital and royal family. Norman raised Liszt under the Moon Family’s strict ideal of aristocratic elegance, restraint, and gentlemanly conduct. 34 174

During the Saint Trial, Liszt deliberately exits the written examination third, following his personal creed of “always third place.” To avoid attention, he introduces himself to reporters as “Calvin Black,” intending to give the absent Calvin the resulting fame. 37

Liszt’s practical examination becomes a duel against Ashley. He endures a full night without urinating, uses water magic and Holy Water to pressure Ashley, and ultimately reveals that he had already urinated at the start while wearing an Infant’s Comfort diaper. Ashley concedes, and Liszt receives a perfect score after a nine-minute examination. 44 48

He later joins Ansu Morningstar and Arthur Sunny as one of the Three Heroes of the Border.
