Background / History
In the late Ancient God era, the Ancient Gods ruled the Azure Plane and treated other races as livestock. Human–Ancient God hybrids and other oppressed races eventually rebelled under figures such as the Lord of Time and the Radiant Great Saint; humans ultimately killed, sealed, banished, or drove away the Ancient Gods and gained control of the plane. 668 774
The Seven Wizard Emperors subsequently led the human race through an era of expansion, conquering countless planes and establishing the Azure Plane's reputation as a supreme center of Wizard civilization. The Third Wizard Dynasty in particular captured gods and devils from other planes and treated them as slaves. 190 406
The Eight Wizard Dynasties later collapsed, and many conquered planes revolted. Their inhabitants destroyed Plane Roads connected to the Azure Plane, while prolonged wars caused a major regression in human Wizard civilization. 205 740

Plane Roads & Interplanar Access
A Plane Road allows a Wizard's true body to cross into another plane, avoiding the weaknesses of projection, possession, and reverse summoning. Control of a life-bearing plane can provide resources and wealth on a scale exceeding entire subcontinents. 82
- During the Wizard Dynasty era, Plane Roads connected the Azure Plane to countless worlds and enabled military campaigns against other planes. 205
- After the Eighth Wizard Dynasty's fall, many other planes destroyed their connections to the Azure Plane to prevent renewed conquest. 205
- The Great Cloud Dynasty controls numerous Plane Roads and derives major resources from interplanar trade and conquest. 664
- A restored Moyin Duo Dynasty-era Plane Beacon on the Red Rock Subcontinent opened a complete Plane Road to the God Blood Plane; such a road can transport even Cosmic Sea powerhouses when supplied with sufficient Magic Crystals. 664 665
- Complete Plane Roads are strategically dangerous: stable access to one of the Thirty-Six Prime Material Planes could allow foreign races to threaten control of the Azure Plane itself. 668

- Demons and Human Demons — Humanoid Demons became far more common after the Wizard Dynasties spread human civilization and aesthetics across conquered planes. 406
- Ancient descendant races — Azure Dragon Descendants, Golden Kirin Descendants, Phoenix Descendants, and similar races later claimed fertile territories, backed by Emperor-Grade Secret Treasures and Great Saint-level powerhouses. 1106
