Inhabitants and Society
Races and God Systems
| Group | Notes |
|---|---|
| Human God System | One of the three major racial god systems; human gods are predominantly Westerners. 199 201 |
| Elf God System | Founded by surviving High Elves who ignited Divine Fire after arriving from the Xiandula Plane. 207 307 |

| Beastman God System | One of the three major racial god systems. 199 |

| Abyssal Demons | Invaders from the Abyssal Plane whose incursions create the Demonic Calamity. 318 343 |
Human Social Order
The human world follows an ancient feudal system. Its four social classes are slaves, liege's subjects, freemen, and nobles; only freemen and nobles may travel freely across the continent. 201
- Great nobles can levy taxes and enact laws within their fiefdoms, functioning almost as independent states while owing tribute to their empire. 249
- Gold coins are the common currency: one gold coin equals ten silver coins or one thousand copper coins. 201
- Mages hold status comparable to nobles and are sufficiently rare that only about one may be born among one hundred thousand people. 201
Magic and Divine Power
Magic Web
The Magic Web, created by Gaja Sistaff, Goddess of the Magic Web, covers the entire plane and governs the conventional cultivation system for Magicians. 207
- Magicians cultivate Meditation Methods to raise Spiritual Force. 207
- Spells must be selected, memorized, and prepared through the Magic Web before battle; normally, spell models are forgotten after a day. 207
- Magic Web Church Divine Arts can extend a Magician's spell retention from one day to three or seven days. 207
- The Church's coveted Divine Grace allows permanent retention of memorized spells, binding many powerful Magicians to its service. 207
- Yang Feng considers Magic Web spell models incomplete because they cannot be solidified in a Wizard's Sea of Consciousness. 207
Divine Faith
Godhood depends on faith, churches, and mortal followers. A mature church, regular prayers, and a continuing supply of faith power are the foundation of a god. 210
- Heroes remembered across the plane may receive traces of faith power and potentially ignite Divine Fire. 210
- The means of becoming a god is concealed from ordinary mortals by the gods. 210
- Gods who ascend in the Feso Plane are tied to it: Yang Feng's true body became unable to leave after his avatar ascended. 448
- A god's strength declines if its Feso Plane believers diminish, regardless of faith collected in other planes. 724
- Many gods lack their own God Kingdom and therefore cannot receive the souls of their believers after death. 449
Plane Laws and Restrictions
- The Feso Plane's barrier normally detects intruders above Legendary Rank; the gods then dispatch forces to eliminate them. 318
- Foreign races and powerhouses face severe plane suppression when entering the Feso Plane, especially at higher levels of strength. 341 361
- Abyssal Demons are particularly vulnerable: an Abyssal Demon Earl capable of rivaling a weak god in the Abyss can be killed by a Demigod in the Feso Plane. 343
- The plane's laws make godhood exceptionally difficult for outsiders, in part because the Pact of the Gods requires resistance against foreign ascendants. 317
- Different planes favor different races and cultivation paths; the Feso Plane is less accommodating than the Azure Plane for foreign beings seeking god-level advancement. 341
History
Divine Wars and the Pact of the Gods
More than one hundred thousand years ago, the gods fought a catastrophic war in which deities and avatars slaughtered each other's followers. Most races were nearly exterminated, and even Legendary Rank fighters were effectively cannon fodder. 238
The weakened gods eventually established covenants restricting direct divine intervention. Mortal populations recovered afterward, while the rarity of divine deaths made these agreements increasingly stable. 238
The Pact of the Gods remains a central limitation on divine activity, though gods may still issue decrees, send avatars, or exploit exceptional events to influence the mortal world. 317 348
High Elf Arrival
The Feso Plane's pure-blooded elves descend from a High Elf annihilation force sent from the Xiandula Plane to destroy the Dark Elves and Goddess Rose. 207
- Rose secured protection from a human Wizard Dynasty, preventing the annihilation force from completing its mission. 207
- The surviving High Elf powerhouses later ignited Divine Fire and founded the Elf God System. 207 307
- The Human and Elf God Systems developed a lasting enmity through their ancient divine wars and later human expeditions against the elves. 308
Azure Plane Contact
The Sixth Warlock Dynasty once subdued the gods of the Feso Plane, leaving its deities aware of the threat posed by Mechanical Legions. 201
The Battle Demon Sect maintains a concealed, unstable Plane Road to the Feso Plane. It can send at most Universe Light Wizards and is not used openly for trade because it could alert the local gods. 318 665
Plane Tide
The Plane Tide, also called the Twilight of the Gods, is a period when the gods have their weakest control over the mortal world. 317
- Its frequency rises with the number of gods a plane supports. 317
- During a Plane Tide, the plane barrier and the gods' God Kingdoms become vulnerable, attracting foreign Legendary, Demigod, and even god-level invaders seeking godhood. 317 318
- Demon Duke Droaldo shattered the Feso Plane's barrier during a Plane Tide, allowing countless foreign powerhouses to enter. 318
- The event also enabled a widespread Demonic Calamity, as Abyssal Demons invaded and slaughtered living beings across the plane. 318 343
- Plane Tide conditions reduce suppression on powerful Abyssal Demons, allowing Demon Lords to enter with far greater strength than usual. 361
