Aegwynn extensively borrowed the design from Hu Feng's mage tower in Suramar City, making it look like a miniature replica. However, Aegwynn also added many of her own styles and ideas, so the exterior of the mage tower still retained a human architectural style.

She named this tower Karazhan. From then on, the Guardian would reside here, far from Dalaran, far from the Tirisfal Guardian Council.

The Stormwind Kingdom was overjoyed and immediately granted Aegwynn all the surrounding lands. The entire Westfall, and a portion of Elwynn Forest: Sunstrider Woods (later Duskwood), all became territories of Karazhan.

Although it was nothing compared to the title of Guardian, it was the attitude that mattered, signifying that the Guardian was now aligned with the Stormwind Kingdom.

In Stormwind City, Aegwynn met a handsome human noble mage: Nielas Aran. Under Aegwynn's deliberate seduction, Aran quickly fell for her, and the two rapidly fell deeply in love. Before Karazhan was completed, they began living together in Stormwind City. One day, Aegwynn told Aran that she was pregnant and that their child was about to be born. This made Aran ecstatic, and he doted on Aegwynn even more.

Soon, Aegwynn gave birth to the boy. However, the magic inherited by the boy from the Guardian was too powerful, causing a catastrophic loss of control.
