Divine Venerable Sargeras tortured Queen Azshara into agreeing to slow the portal’s construction and secretly obtain a demon-summoning spell from Sargeras. After Azshara returned to her palace, the Divine Eye appeared on a wall and tormented her chief maid Fashqi as well.

• Azshara instructed Valorous to tell Dath'Remar to slow the portal’s progress without being noticed.
