As Buggy and the Joker became entangled with Wano’s coming conflict, Doflamingo pursued a Devil Fruit trade involving Sakazuki’s son and uncovered a betrayal by CP agents.

• The Joker persuaded Golden Lion to sail to Wano, where Kozuki Oden let him copy the Red Poneglyph and allowed Buggy to stay at Oden Castle.
• Charlotte Katakuri defeated Kyros and seized control of Dressrosa, while Charlotte Linlin learned that Vice Admiral Steve had made Violet’s pastries and ordered Perospero to recruit him.
• Doflamingo returned to Beast-Dragon Island and fought Perospero and Katakuri, defeating them before choosing to confront Charlotte Linlin on Cake Island.
• Doflamingo and Sancho fought Charlotte Linlin until she agreed to exchange Katakuri and Perospero for King Riku, Violet, and Scarlett.

Doflamingo intervened in Wano, manipulating Kaido into killing Kurozumi Orochi and battling him while Joker rescued the Kozuki family and the Nine Red Scabbards. The survivors left Oden Castle in Golden Lion Shiki’s care, while Doflamingo brought Shinobu and the Oniwabanshu to his Marine base and continued investigating a kidnapping.

• Doflamingo watched Kaido defeat Kozuki Oden, then collected Oden’s soul at his execution and gained his Haki and swordsmanship talent.
• Doflamingo fought King and used illusions to drive Kaido into a rampage that killed Kurozumi Orochi, then claimed the Eight-Headed Serpent Fruit from Orochi’s soul.
• Doflamingo battled Kaido for more than ten hours, exploiting his old wound before faking his retreat and returning secretly to the Flower Capital.
• Doflamingo found Shinobu and the Oniwabanshu in the hidden treasury, then watched Queen the Plague capture Kin'emon, Kiku, and Kanjuro outside Oden Castle.

Doflamingo uncovered that CP0 had taken Sakazuki’s son to Mary Geoise and led a revolt that freed thousands of slaves, including Hancock and her sisters. After entrusting the freed people to Dragon and Tiger, he confronted Sakazuki, who had arrived to retrieve his son.

• Doflamingo learned from Modock that CP0 had captured Sakazuki’s son for the Celestial Dragons, then told Sakazuki the truth and revealed his own former identity as Donquixote Doflamingo.
• The Five Elders discovered Doflamingo’s identity and plotted to kill him, but Doflamingo reached Mary Geoise and used illusions to mislead their agents and disrupt the city.
• Doflamingo and Sancho helped free slaves as CP0 agents and Celestial Dragons fell into chaos, while Fisher Tiger organized the escape and Kong confronted Doflamingo.
• Doflamingo revealed his name to Kong, freed more slaves with Tiger, and gave Tiger the Pachycephalosaurus Fruit before helping the escapees descend from the Red Line.
• Doflamingo rescued Stella, recruited Tesorro with the Gold-Gold Fruit, and saved Hancock and her sisters from a Celestial Dragon before gathering the freed slaves aboard the Golden Ship.
• Dragon arrived and offered to take the freed slaves into the Revolutionary Army, while Tiger planned to form the Sun Pirates and the Five Elders sought pirates to pursue Doflamingo.

Doflamingo trained his allies, found the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, and survived a battle with Kaido and Charlotte Linlin by projecting his Illusion Space into reality. While he recovered, Joker exploited Kaido’s absence to turn on the Beasts Pirates and seize control of Wano, ending with Ulti forced to eat pieces of a Devil Fruit.

• Doflamingo negotiated with Sakazuki and Dragon over Williams’s future, then trained Tiger, Hancock, her sisters, and the others in the Illusion Space.
• Tiger formed the Sun Pirates, while Doflamingo chose Alabasta as the crew’s first base and sent Tesoro to build underground influence there.
• Doflamingo sailed to Jaya, found the Rumble-Rumble Fruit on Birka, and left the Spark-Spark Fruit behind for Enel.
• Kaido and Charlotte Linlin ambushed Doflamingo in Alabasta, and he and Sancho answered their combined Hakai with God’s Calamity.
• After nearly three days of fighting, Doflamingo projected the Illusion Space into reality and unleashed Unmerciful Sun, badly wounding Kaido and Charlotte Linlin before Katakuri pulled them to safety.
• Joker prepared a revolt in Wano while Kaido was away, appointing Byrnndi World Guardian King and sending him to attack Onigashima.
• King subdued the rampaging Queen, then fought Byrnndi World’s invading crew as Joker entered Kaido’s palace and found Ulti and Page One trying to steal a Devil Fruit.
• Joker threatened Ulti and Page One, survived Ulti’s gunshot with his Chop-Chop Fruit, and forced pieces of a Devil Fruit into Ulti’s mouth.
