Amber's mouth was, as always, somewhere on the random spectrum between asking for a beating and desperately asking for a beating. Under normal circumstances, Gawain would have been holding the Pioneer's Sword, ready to slap her against a wall. But this time, he did not argue with Amber.
Because he was in an exceptionally good mood.
He was even in the mood to discuss something serious with Amber. "Do you know how valuable that Magic Array is?"
"How valuable?" Amber blinked. To be fair, this Half-elf lady was quite confident in her magical attainments—she firmly believed she knew absolutely nothing about the subject, so she had no embarrassment in admitting it. "I can't even tell how many Magic Runes are on it. How would I know how valuable it is...?"
Gawain had not expected her to be so frank and nearly choked on the spot. Fortunately, he had lived through the internet age in his previous life and had seen all sorts of shameless people, so he quickly regained his composure. "Then let me put it another way—if magic became something everyone could use, or something everyone could 'borrow,' how valuable do you think that technology would be?"
Amber froze. A full half minute later, she said in disbelief, "You mean... that Magic Array can turn everyone into a mage? Haven't you been staring at the sun too much these past few days and gotten heatstroke?"
Ignoring the punchable part of her words, Gawain shook his head cheerfully. "Of course it can't turn everyone into a mage, but it may allow everyone to come into contact with the Supernatural Domain. I suspect Heti has not truly realized the significance of that array. It is not simply 'a clumsy Spellcaster assembling a large array from basic runes.' Its greatest significance lies
