A well-armed force of over a hundred men, every one of them a highly trained, strong-willed devout warrior, faced two young Kryptonians who had ventured alone into enemy territory.

It was a completely uneven battle.

The entire process was so monotonous and simple that it could hardly be called a battle. The various artillery pieces positioned on both flanks of the Independent Army's formation to provide covering fire were all scrapped by the two Kryptonian kids' first sweep of Heat Vision, burning fiercely amid soaring flames. The tank formation was nearly useless. Two unstoppable blurs crashed straight into the wall of steel formed by military heavy armor, each carving a path through the tanks in opposite directions. When the two blurs intersected, their flight paths formed two enormous circles, and not a single functioning tank remained in the formation.

The soldiers who had been shouting about sacrificing themselves for a noble cause instinctively retreated. As they watched those two figures standing amid the flames like Gods of War, fear uncontrollably seized their nerves—an unavoidable instinctive reaction when living creatures faced enemies vastly more powerful than themselves.

They continued firing their rifles futilely at the invincible enemies, but every bullet inevitably became flattened scrap metal as it fell to the ground. Jay casually gripped the barrel of an overturned tank beside him, his powerful grip crushing the walls of the barrel together. With a flex of his arm, he lifted the tank's upper turret into the air as though wielding a mace.

The soldiers stared in stunned disbelief. Va had trained them how to charge into battle and how to face the armed forces of every major nation, but he had never taught them how to fight monsters of this caliber. Jay rose into the air, then hurled the tank turret
