After surviving the Chitauri invasion, Evenson questioned the nuclear strike, pursued plans with the Eredar Twins, and recruited Gernos to develop Umbrella Corporation’s exoskeletons. When Ancient One confronted him over his dark magic, the Twins fought her until Evenson joined the battle and finally surrendered rather than risk millions of civilian lives.

• Evenson escaped Uthalesh’s realm with help from the Eredar Twins, lost his right hand, and helped send the nuclear bomb through the portal to destroy the Chitauri mothership.
• After the Avengers celebrated their victory, Evenson warned Nick Fury that the committee’s nuclear strike could provoke Asgard and revealed that he had refused to resurrect Coulson as a living corpse.
• Evenson traveled to Fel Scar Rift with Agatha, recruited Gernos under a contract of sale, and arranged for him to oversee the Edge of Tomorrow project with support from the Eredar Twins.
• Evenson arrived too late to travel to Asgard with Thor’s group, then learned from Tony Stark that Klayya had dumped him before she returned and revealed that Ancient One was coming for him.
• Ancient One confronted Evenson in his fortified shop, and the Eredar Twins joined the fight after she exposed her use of Dark Dimension power.

Evenson told Ancient One that the Burning Legion and other forces threatened the multiverse, then worked to prepare Earth and strengthen allies like Melinda. After finding Coulson possessed by a demon, Evenson signed a contract that pointed him toward Locke and a coming Winter Solstice, and set out with Klayya, Melinda, and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to seek Johnny Blaze.

• Evenson explained his organization’s origins and warned Ancient One that the Burning Crusade was returning, showing her the Legion, the Swarm, and other worlds’ destruction.
• Ancient One agreed to consider supporting Evenson’s plan to unite humanity, while Evenson revealed his company and Klayya stayed behind as Kamar-Taj’s monitor.
• Evenson transformed Melinda with green magic, giving her flames that could turn objects into weapons, and began preparing her to grow into a heavily armored fighter.
• Nick Fury brought Evenson and Klayya to Tahiti, where they learned that CH325 had revived Coulson using blood from a Kree corpse.
• Evenson discovered that a demon had taken Coulson’s soul and possessed his body, then confronted Nahash, who demanded Locke be sent back to Hell.
• Evenson signed Nahash’s contract after securing assurances about his friends, and learned that Locke’s demonic child faced possession at the coming Winter Solstice.

Evenson pursued Locke and Danny while working with Nadia, Johnny Blaze, and S.H.I.E.L.D. Melinda and the agents rescued Danny, but Ghost Rider followed them through a portal as Evenson stepped in behind him.

• Evenson redirected his team to investigate the Outer Church, where they found its members and Swiss Guards dead and learned that Carrigan’s mercenaries had attacked.
• Evenson collapsed the church in molten fire, then brought Morrigan aboard and learned that Locke had arranged for Nadia to bear Danny, the Child of Demon.
• Evenson pursued Carrigan while Melinda attacked his convoy, Johnny Blaze joined the fight, and Carrigan escaped with Danny after Locke shielded the boy from Johnny’s senses.
• Evenson recruited Nadia and Johnny into the search, tested Nadia’s blood, and learned it could bear an unusually high capacity for Magic.
• Evenson used Fel flames to help Johnny control Ghost Rider and sent him to disrupt Carrigan while Melinda’s team prepared to rescue Danny.
• Ghost Rider battled Carrigan’s mercenaries at the quarry as Evenson threatened arms dealer Milhark Berikoff and Melinda led the agents into the workshop to free Danny.

Evenson pursued Locke from the Sanctum to Skovia, where he exposed the Eredar Twins and used Johnny Blaze to send Locke to Hell. The arc ended with the Twins confronting Evenson and leaving Klayya shaken by their claims about his feelings for her.

• Evenson arrived at the Sanctum, where its power weakened him and Melinda, and the monks took Danny away while accusing the team of serving the devil.
• Evenson learned that the monks planned to kill Danny, then stopped the execution after Carrigan attacked and killed the monks.
• Evenson questioned the monk leader’s soul and learned that God and the angel had left the world to answer the Mother of Light’s call.
• Evenson tracked Danny to Skovia, where he identified Saloras and Aurelles as the Eredar Twins and led an assault on Locke’s gathering.
