Arc 41The Fall of Xandar

Evenson arranged an alliance between Asgard and the Kree by orchestrating a war on Xandar, while Carol arrived and challenged his methods. The fighting ended with Frigga’s forces rescuing Xandar’s people, and Xandar faced a referendum on becoming an Asgardian province.

  • Evenson secured a five-trillion loan from Xandar, using the deeds to the Three Great Sanctums as collateral, and arranged to obtain Kree currency and shares through a bank.
  • Evenson traveled to Kyln aboard the Red Queen’s Revenge, where he reunited with Alfhil as Quill and his companions escaped and Ronan searched for the Power Stone.
  • Ronan took the Power Stone from Gamora and embedded it in his Universal Weapon, while Evenson persuaded him to delay attacking Xandar and told Gabriel to warn Nova Supreme.
  • Evenson and Ronan launched a coordinated assault on Xandar, and Carol answered the distress signal, destroyed Evenson’s Fel Mech, and fought him before he trapped her in a volcanic mountain.
  • Carol survived in her Binary form and confronted Evenson, who explained his agreement with Frigga to defeat Xandar, secure an Asgard-Kree alliance, and raise Earth’s status with Asgard.
  • Ronan crashed the Necro during the battle, and Quill distracted him before Carol fought him and Quill and his companions used the Power Stone against him, and Frigga and the Valkyrie Corps then took the stone.
  • Frigga and Sif staged a battle against Evenson’s demons and rescued civilians, revealing to Carol that the war and rescue had been arranged with Evenson from the start.
  • Evenson brought Nova Supreme before Frigga, who demanded Xandar’s leaders resign, the Nova Corps disband, and Xandar become an Asgardian province, and Nova Supreme agreed to hold a referendum.

Arc 42Stones, Ruin, and Return

Evenson helped Frigga take control of Xandar and gained influence in the Kree Empire before confronting Thanos over the fate of the universe. He returned to Earth as Xandar faced economic collapse and became entangled in a hacking scandal tied to Skye’s identity.

  • Evenson exposed how Xandar’s referendum would disguise submission as a voluntary choice, while Frigga sentenced the Guardians to serve Asgard by helping war victims.
  • Evenson helped Frigga plan Xandar’s economic takeover, then secured a controlling stake in a Kree bank and tied Ronan’s finances to the Kree military.
  • Thanos asked Evenson to help him collect the Infinity Stones, but Evenson rejected his plan to erase half of all life and proposed the Third Magic as an alternative.
  • Evenson and Thanos failed to agree, and their meeting ended with the possibility of a war between their factions.
  • Evenson learned that Xandar’s currency collapse had caused shortages and unrest, while the magnates controlling relief supplies had abused their authority.
  • Sif urged Evenson to invest his Kree funds in Xandar, but he admitted he could not withdraw the money and fled to Earth after she drew her sword.
  • Evenson returned to Earth and learned that Skye suspected Umbrella Corporation had copied her consciousness through a linked exoskeleton.
  • Coulson and Melinda told Evenson that a hacker had used Skye’s identity to hijack Constantinople’s broadcasts, while an edict ordered a former cathedral museum converted into an Arabian Temple.
