Black and Yellow

Inside the stone cave, Lu Zhou sat in dry meditation. For several whole days, he did not move a single inch.

He had been pondering why he could not stir the heavens and earth.

"It isn't because of the Qiankun Pearl!"

The first thing he ruled out was the Qiankun Pearl!

"Because I had considered that the Qiankun Pearl came with the ability to conceal heavenly secrets, I had already disabled its automatic concealment effect before breaking into the Four Extremities."

In the end, Lu Zhou thought he had probably guessed the reason.

"The Wheel Sea Scripture and Dao Palace Scripture I created are still too crude. They are merely frameworks, and I have not yet reached the realm where I can begin to verify my own Dao against heaven and earth!"

With that thought, Lu Zhou stepped into the void and hurried back toward Stone Village.

As he neared Stone Village, he immediately saw a bald-tailed dog as burly as a bull disciplining Wang Shu and Lei Bo within the village!

Then Lu Zhou saw the Big Black Dog's nose twitch twice. It bared its teeth, transformed into a bolt of black lightning, and lunged at Lu Zhou to bite him!

Black Emperor was fast, but Lu Zhou reacted even faster. He had long known what Black Emperor was like.

The moment Black Emperor lunged at him, Lu Zhou swung a slap at it.

Black Emperor was sent flying by Lu Zhou's slap, tumbling for a full li. It howled twice, then got back up as though nothing had happened.

"Damn dog. Are you fucking crazy? You bite the moment we meet?"

Lu Zhou shook his hand. This Black Emperor truly was as sturdy as the original story described. Its body was practically comparable to divine iron; he could not hurt it at all!

"Woof! You're the damn dog."

Black Emperor opened its bloody maw wide. Its fangs were dense, white as blades, and terrifyingly sharp.

"Black Emperor, don't bite people. Brother Lu is Stone Village's benefactor."

"Brother Lu, please show mercy. Fifth Master Zhang was the one who brought Black Emperor back."

Wang Shu and Lei Bo spoke one after the other.

Everything had happened far too quickly. They did not react until Black Emperor was about to lunge at Lu Zhou again, and hurriedly called out.

The disturbance here alerted many people in Stone Village, and they gathered around one after another.

Only after hearing Fifth Master Zhang's account did Lu Zhou learn that on the third day after he had left Stone Village, Fifth Master Zhang had encountered Black Emperor near Purple Mountain and brought it back to Stone Village.

Black Emperor had then remained in Stone Village ever since!

What Lu Zhou could not understand was that Black Emperor generally did not bite people at random. Yet both Lu Zhou now and Ye Fan in the original story had been attacked by Black Emperor the moment they returned to Stone Village.

Why the hell was that?

"Wangcai, why did you suddenly go mad and bite me just now?"

"Woof!"

Black Emperor answered him with another bite.

It was correcting Lu Zhou, telling him to respectfully address it as Black Emperor.

Lu Zhou remained on guard and slapped it again, sending Black Emperor flying and making it roll several times.

After being swatted away twice in a row, Black Emperor could see that Lu Zhou was very wary of it and even faster than it was.

Black Emperor silently walked to one side and lay down, closing its eyes and ignoring Lu Zhou.

Half an hour later, it was time to eat.

"Awwooo."

Without needing to say more, Black Emperor was once again swatted flying by Lu Zhou!

It held grudges and had been constantly looking for a chance to sneak a bite. Unfortunately, it did not know that Lu Zhou understood its temperament far too well.

Lu Zhou remembered that Ye Fan in the original story had been bitten by Black Emperor while eating.

"Big Doggy, you can't bite people randomly, and you especially can't bite Brother Lu."

Only Little Nannan could say such a thing.

As she spoke, she stretched out her little hand and patted Black Emperor's leg!

Before Little Nannan, Black Emperor was very gentle.

Two quarters of an hour earlier, when Little Nannan had emerged from the Qiankun Pearl and appeared in Stone Village, Black Emperor had stared at her as though it had discovered some supreme treasure, drooling so much that saliva nearly dripped from its mouth!

It had even scampered up to Little Nannan, acting like a big bad wolf as it patiently coaxed her.

"Little darling, do you want to take a master?"

"What is taking a master for?"

Little Nannan blinked and asked innocently.

Black Emperor said it would teach Little Nannan a supreme art comparable to the peerless technique the Ruthless Emperor had created in her later years.

In the end, it even took full responsibility, declaring that it would take care of Little Nannan from then on.

Lu Zhou watched the scene with a smile and said nothing.

Over the next few days.

Little Nannan gained a mount of her own. Black Emperor often carried her on rides around Stone Village. Only Little Nannan could call it Big Doggy and ride on its back.

The people of Stone Village were also racing against time to make their final preparations for moving.

Every bark meant that Black Emperor had once again been swatted flying by Lu Zhou.

It still had not forgotten being slapped by Lu Zhou and suffering a loss at his hands. It had been constantly looking for an opportunity to bite Lu Zhou and regain its face.

But it had never succeeded!
