Background / History

Ye Fan is among the group of classmates swept from Mount Tai into the Nine Dragon Pulling Coffin. During the initial crisis, he attempts to lead his classmates away from the destruction before they are involuntarily drawn into the coffin. 1

He later cultivates alongside Lu Zhou at Lingxu Grotto-Heaven. Although Lu Zhou knows many of Ye Fan's future ordeals, he deliberately avoids shielding him from every hardship, believing those trials are essential to Ye Fan's eventual rise. 46 59

Ye Fan acquires the Source Root of Myriad Mother Qi after his Green Copper Fragment, broken cauldron, and the Source Root merge within his Wheel Sea. Unable to control the treasure at first, he promises Lu Zhou that he will share it once he can. 59

His attempt to enter the Four Extremes Realm becomes a public test of the Desolate Ancient Saint Body. On Lu Zhou's advice, he abandons the Holy City's Dragon Transformation Pool and enters the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Land instead. He survives the land's erosion, heavenly tribulation, and an Innate Dao Diagram, ultimately reaching the Four Extremes Realm. 175 176 180 181

Afterward, Ye Fan defeats a succession of challengers, including Gu Mingdao and the Golden-Winged Little Peng King, using the battle to establish an invincible Dao heart. However, lingering injuries from the Innate Dao Diagram later leave him apparently close to death. 183 184

He eventually travels to Ziwei Ancient Star aboard the Nine Dragon Pulling Coffin, leaving Ji Ziyue and Qin Yao behind to continue his cultivation path. 312
