Hun Xiu crippled the Sword Saint on Immortal Spirit Island, prompting the Baiyue Cult Master to pursue him when he tried to escape with the Wine Sword Immortal. The Wine Sword Immortal confronted Baiyue to protect his senior brother, and the chapter ended as he unleashed the Sword Control Technique.
Baiyue overwhelmed the Wine Sword Immortal and pursued him and the crippled Sword Saint, but they escaped onto Immortal Spirit Island, where Hun Xiu was waiting. Hun Xiu admitted he had crippled the Sword Saint and then ordered the two men to leave, despite Baiyue waiting outside.
Zhao Ling'er drove Baiyue away from Immortal Spirit Island, and Wine Sword Immortal returned to Shu Mountain with the injured Sword Saint. Over the next five years, Baiyue prepared to fuse with the Water Demon Beast, Li Xiaoyao grew powerful while remaining in Yuhang Town, and Zhao Ling'er and Sword Saint advanced in cultivation.
After recovering his Dao Entry Realm cultivation, the Sword Saint set out with the Wine Sword Immortal to kill Baiyue, who waited for them at a lake in Nanzhao Kingdom. Hun Xiu brought Zhao Ling'er and his disciple Li Xiaoyao to join the confrontation, and the chapter ended with the Wine Sword Immortal recognizing Li Xiaoyao’s weapon as the legendary Demon Sword.
Li Xiaoyao arrived with the Demon Sword and joined the Sword Saint, Wine Sword Immortal, and Zhao Ling'er in attacking Baiyue. After they overwhelmed him, Baiyue summoned the Water Demon Beast and revealed that it was not his final trump card.
Baiyue merged with the Water Demon Beast, but the beast consumed his consciousness and turned on Li Xiaoyao and the others. Li Xiaoyao sealed the Water Demon Beast inside the Demon Sword, ending the calamity.
Hun Xiu praised Li Xiaoyao and Zhao Ling'er after their victory, then exposed and destroyed an avatar of Heavenly Emperor Fuxi. In the God Realm, Fuxi discovered that his avatar was gone and that the Human Realm’s course had changed, just as someone answered his demand to know who was responsible.
Hun Xiu confronted Heavenly Emperor Fuxi in the God Realm and easily overpowered him, forcing Fuxi to abandon his hostility. After Hun Xiu demanded that the Human Realm be freed from the God Realm, Fuxi agreed to end its vassal status.
Hun Xiu left the God Realm and entered a new world, where he took the Xuanyuan Sword from Yang Su and accepted Yuwen Tuo as his disciple. He returned the sword to Yuwen Tuo and left him with cultivation techniques, charging him to grow strong enough to rescue his mother.
After Hun Xiu stopped Yang Su from killing the Empress of Northern Zhou, Yang Su unified the Great Sui Dynasty. The Demon Lord failed to alter Yuwen Tuo’s destiny and sent Ning Ke to befriend him, but years later Hun Xiu appeared before Yuwen Tuo, alarming Ning Ke.
Hun Xiu recognized Ning Ke as a demon and told her he could help her become ruler of the Demon Realm, while Yuwen Tuo left to rescue his mother from Yang Su. Yuwen Tuo reached Yang Su’s residence and confronted the Grand Tutor with the Xuanyuan Sword.
Yuwen Tuo killed Yang Su, rescued his mother, and learned from Hun Xiu that the Xuanyuan Sword could be restored with the missing fragment. He then gathered divine artifacts and companions to prepare for the Crimson Comet and the opening of the Mark of the Heavens.
As the Mark of the Heavens opened and demons invaded the Human Realm, Yuwen Tuo confronted the Demon Lord with the Xuanyuan Sword and the Ten Great Divine Artifacts. Yuwen Tuo wounded the Demon Lord with ease, leaving the ruler of the Demon Realm enraged and preparing to retaliate.
Yuwen Tuo defeated the Demon Lord in the Human Realm and prepared to kill him with the combined power of the Ten Great Divine Artifacts. Ning Ke stopped the fatal strike and revealed that she was a demon and the Demon Lord’s daughter, leaving Yuwen Tuo in shock.
After Ning Ke revealed that she was the Demon Lord’s daughter, Yuwen Tuo believed her love was real and let her father return to the Demon Realm. Learning that Ning Ke was pregnant, Yuwen Tuo followed her there, where the Demon Lord was shocked to see him reunite with her.
Yuwen Tuo faced the Demon Lord in the Demon Realm, where the ruler overwhelmed him and threatened to kill him despite Ning Ke’s pleas. After Yuwen Tuo summoned his teacher Hun Xiu, Hun Xiu forced the Demon Lord to kneel and offered to help Yuwen Tuo take Ning Ke away or even rule the Demon Realm.
Hun Xiu returned to the Lotus Lantern world, freed his imprisoned son Hun Jiao, and confronted Haotian over his actions. He left Haotian with an order to prepare his own coffin, setting up an imminent reckoning.
Haotian rushed to Spirit Mountain after Hun Xiu returned and confronted Shakyamuni over their role in suppressing Hun Jiao. Sun Wukong challenged Haotian, but Haotian effortlessly defeated him, leaving Sun Wukong unable to believe the Jade Emperor was so powerful.
Haotian confronted Shakyamuni at Spirit Mountain over Hun Xiu’s return, but Shakyamuni refused to stand with him and disavowed his role in suppressing Hun Jiao. Haotian attacked Shakyamuni and left him coughing blood, while the assembled Buddhas and Sun Wukong watched in shock.
Haotian killed Shakyamuni and summoned the Three Realms’ powers to the Heavenly Court, hoping to resist Hun Xiu. Hun Xiu arrived and erased Haotian, leaving the Jade Emperor’s throne vacant as the Light of Dominance descended and Primeval Lord of Heaven pursued it.
Hun Xiu claimed the Light of Dominance and destroyed it, ending the possibility of anyone ruling the Three Realms with its power. He stored the world in a scroll and departed for another world, where he intended to begin anew without a system or cheats.
