Rumble!
The roar of enormous waves came from not far away, loud as thunder.
A trace of gravity flashed across Han Yu's delicate face as he tightly gripped the reef rock beside him with both hands.
Azure waves surged violently, arriving in an instant!
Whoosh!
Han Yu's body shuddered, and the immense impact nearly knocked the breath out of him.
Before he could catch his breath, the next wave followed close behind.
"Urgh!"
Mouthful after mouthful of seawater poured into Han Yu's mouth. His face was frighteningly pale, yet he clung tightly to the reef rock, his fingers turning white from gripping it too hard.
"Don't give up, keep going!"
Han Yu bit down hard on his lip, thin streams of blood flowing out before quickly being washed away by the seawater.
Red marks covered his skin, and his small body had swollen so much that it seemed noticeably rounder.
Wave after wave crashed into him, their immense force slamming into him head-on.
"Ah! It hurts so much... I can't hold on much longer."
His head felt heavy, and Han Yu's consciousness gradually blurred, but the hands gripping the reef rock still held fast.
Rumble!
Rumble!
Du Busi watched this scene and nodded in satisfaction.
"This kid truly is full of surprises. Such perseverance is rare indeed."
About half an hour passed before Han Yu could no longer endure. His hands, which had been tightly clutching the reef rock, suddenly loosened, and his entire body was about to be swept away by the waves.
Have I reached my limit?
A thought flashed through Han Yu's mind. Just then, a pair of large hands seized him.
"Teacher..."
Then everything went black, and he fell unconscious.
Crackle, crackle!
The island was very quiet at night, and the tide had already receded.
Han Yu felt as though he was immersed in a warm ocean, his entire body incomparably comfortable.
His starving body greedily absorbed the warmth around him. As the warmth entered his body, his injuries healed at a visible rate.
He did not know how long had passed before the warmth around him gradually turned cool. Han Yu opened his eyes in confusion.
"Where am I...?"
"Teacher, did you boil me?"
Han Yu did not know whether to laugh or cry. At this moment, he was inside that large Cauldron, with blazing flames burning beneath it.
Du Busi squatted nearby, adding fuel from time to time.
"Since you're awake, hurry up and get out. What nonsense are you talking about? Your teacher is tempering your body."
"Tempering my body?"
Han Yu lowered his head and looked at his frail body. He did not feel much different, except that his skin seemed to have gained a much more pleasing sheen.
"The effects won't appear immediately. You need to soak for a long time."
Du Busi explained from the side.
Han Yu suddenly understood. Although the effects were not obvious, he could still sense the difference. Even the circulation speed of the Soul Power within his body seemed to have increased considerably.
Grrr...
Han Yu scratched his head awkwardly. It had been nearly a full day since he came ashore, and he had not eaten a single bite of food during that time.
At this moment, he was incredibly hungry, as though he could devour a huge amount of food.
"If you're hungry, come eat. A good physique can't do without meat."
With a wave of Du Busi's hand, a huge pile of food appeared on the flat ground.
Han Yu swallowed and could not help picking up a small leg of some unknown Soul Beast before starting to eat.
The pile of food was enough for roughly four people, yet Han Yu forcibly finished it all by himself.
Lying on a patch of Blue Silver Grass, Han Yu smacked his lips in satisfaction. Other than the poor taste, everything else was fine.
"Now I'll tell you about the cultivation methods of our Body Sect. Our Body Sect primarily cultivates combat techniques!"
Du Busi took out something resembling a parchment scroll and spread it open before Han Yu.
"Teacher, could combat techniques be a method of circulating Soul Power?"
Han Yu sat up, looking at the Parchment with some curiosity.
It was covered in little figures posed in all sorts of stances, and each figure had quite a few red dots on its body, seemingly arranged according to a specific pattern.
"Yes and no. Do you know about Self-Created Soul Skills?"
Han Yu nodded. He did know about that. Some major sects possessed their own inherited secret techniques.
Those were Self-Created Soul Skills!
For example, the Clear Sky Sect's Haotian Nine Secrets and Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer, or the Nine Treasures Glazed Tile Sect's Heart Separation Control method.
"Ours is similar to a Self-Created Soul Skill, but there is one difference: it is merely a method."
"Depending on the martial soul, each person's skill will be different."
Du Busi paused before continuing.
"For example, if someone has an arm martial soul, then their combat technique would be related to the arm and could greatly increase its combat power."
Han Yu understood. Put simply, the Body Sect's combat techniques were a set of methods for exerting force. As for what skill one produced, that depended on how one used it.
Arms, calves, even belly skin—if developed properly, one might even be able to create Flesh Bomb Rush.
"Our combat technique is a type of Self-Created Soul Skill derived by communicating with one's own martial soul. As for how powerful the resulting soul skill will be, that depends entirely on one's own comprehension."
At that point, Han Yu was finally moved.
If he cultivated this combat technique and combined it with his Sharingan martial soul, perhaps he could create many illusions.
If he understood the principles and effects behind their activation, then he should be able to use his martial soul to release them.
But that was only his speculation. Whether it could be done would depend on his future cultivation.
"I still don't know much about your martial soul. Tell me about its characteristics now."
"Eye-type martial souls are mostly mental in nature. In the future, you will probably become a Mental Control System Soul Master!"
Du Busi looked at Han Yu with a smile. He had not yet learned the details of Han Yu's martial soul over the past few days, so this was a good chance to find out.
Every martial soul had its own characteristics. Some enhanced speed or strength, while others had different effects.
Han Yu fell silent for a moment, considering how to begin. Should he tell Du Busi that his martial soul could evolve?
If he told him, perhaps Du Busi might truly have a way to solve it.
If he did not, then relying on himself alone, he really could not think of any good solution.
Forget it. Du Busi is the only person I can trust right now, and it's not that big a deal. He'll find out eventually anyway, Han Yu thought.
"Teacher, my martial soul is called the Sharingan. Unlike ordinary eyes, once I activate it, my dynamic vision is enhanced."
Han Yu activated his Sharingan, pointed to it, and continued.
"Although it is considered a mental-type martial soul, my eyes are currently better suited for close combat. I can track an enemy's movements, and in my eyes, their actions slow down endlessly. As long as my body can keep up, I can counterattack at any time and even defeat them."
Han Yu slowly explained as he watched the surprise in Du Busi's eyes.
"There's such a powerful ability? Excellent. Then your close-combat ability must be strengthened in the future as well, otherwise it would be wasted."
Du Busi's tone was full of delight. He had not expected Han Yu to give him such a huge surprise.
Just imagine it—if one could slow down an opponent's movements, it was equivalent to controlling their actions. In a one-on-one duel, when the gap in strength was not great, Han Yu could be said to be guaranteed victory.
Before Du Busi could recover from his shock, Han Yu gave him another enormous surprise.
