Background

Han Yu was taken as Du Busi's disciple in the Body Sect. During his early cultivation, he recognized that his Sharingan was not complete: its scarlet eyes initially contained one black magatama, with the potential to evolve to three. He believed further evolution required intense negative emotional stimulation and sought Du Busi's assistance. 8

For his first Soul Ring, Du Busi brought him to the Far North Land and selected a mental-type Snow Demon, whose Mental Tremor complemented the Sharingan's control potential. Han Yu was left to complete the dangerous journey through the region on his own. 8 After gaining his ring, he spent six years training on an island, where he developed Chidori through his lightning attribute and refined the Shadow Clone Technique. An incident in which he created too many clones and fell unconscious for days made him intensely cautious about risking his life. 17

After leaving the island, Han Yu attempted to seize the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm under a system quest but failed due to a system malfunction. Electrolux's remnant consciousness entered his body instead, and Han Yu chose to treat it as a cultivation mentor. 18 He later entered Shrek Academy, became Huo Yuhao's roommate, and established himself as a formidable freshman through confrontations with Tai Long and Dai Huabin. 25 26

Han Yu is outwardly calm, self-assured, and difficult for unfamiliar people to approach. Having spent six years with little social contact, he is often simply unsure how to speak to others; Tang Ya and Bei Bei eventually interpret his aloofness as a tsundere disposition. 21 23
