Background / History
Notting Academy and Shrek
Tang San first appears in the curtained dormitory at Notting Academy, where Chi Xiu unexpectedly arrives beside Xiao Wu and Tang San. Xiao Wu later speaks to Tang San with anger, while Tang San shows remorse but struggles to communicate with her. 15 16
At Shrek Academy's entrance examination, Tang San uses Blue Silver Grass, Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track, and Parasitic against Chi Xiu. Chi Xiu evades and redirects Tang San's own vines, defeating him within seconds. 40
Tang San later challenges Chi Xiu to a wager, demanding that Chi Xiu apologize to Shrek and stay away from Xiao Wu if he cannot win before an incense stick burns out. He employs hidden weapons and a poisoned concealed arrow during the fight, but Chi Xiu defeats him with Earth Attribute · Dragon Breath, forces the poison back into him, and makes him kneel and declare himself a hypocrite. 42 43
Holy Spirit Academy
After Tang Hao's death is revealed to him, Tang San learns from Tang Chen that he is Tang Hao's son, a member of the Clear Sky Sect, and Tang Chen's great-grandson. He joins Holy Spirit Academy to pursue strength. 168 170
Tang San accepts Tang Chen's unconventional cultivation method and absorbs Yellow Spring Dew. His compatibility with the substance allows him to rise from level 32 to level 80 in two years, though it leaves dark red markings on his body and contributes to an increasingly abnormal aura. 167 192
By the tournament, Tang San has reached level 82 and joined Holy Spirit Academy's team. His Blue Silver Grass becomes a black, dark-red-patterned vine Martial Soul. Under Pride's orders, he severely injures his former Shrek teammates Ma Hongjun and Oscar. 197 199 200
Conflict with Chi Xiu
Tang San is accused of accidentally releasing a hundred-thousand-year Dark Demon Evil Armor Beast during Spirit Hall's masked event after mistaking it for a far weaker target. When told of its actual age, he retreats, while Chi Xiu exposes his role in endangering the other young Soul Masters. 59 60
He is again humiliated after Holy Spirit Academy concedes to Purple Star Academy: Xiao Wu demands that he kneel, kowtow, and slap himself, and Chi Xiu suppresses his Soul Power until he complies. 223
Later, Tang San joins Tang Xiao and the Clear Sky Sect's allied factions in a campaign against Chi Xiu, claiming that Chi Xiu killed Tang Hao. 280
Death
Tang San attempts to force himself upon Bai Chenxiang after seeking her hand in marriage through the Clear Sky Sect. Chi Xiu intervenes, defeats him, and strips the Yellow Spring Dew-derived power from his body using the Asura Sword. 281 282
Reduced to roughly level 30, Tang San is killed by Chi Xiu. His body is later buried alongside Bai He. 282 283

Personality

He is willing to use hidden weapons, poison, and calculated schemes when facing stronger opponents. After joining Holy Spirit Academy, his fixation on gaining power drives him to accept Yellow Spring Dew cultivation despite its abnormal effects. 43 189 192
The Yellow Spring Dew amplifies Tang San's negative emotions and desires while suppressing his conscience. By the end of his life, he is willing to injure former friends, seek revenge through the Clear Sky Sect, and attempt to assault Bai Chenxiang. 199 200 280 281
