Background / History

When the Dragon God was cleaved apart by the Asura God, Gu Yuena became the Silver Dragon King and fled to the Douluo Continent. She concealed herself beneath Star Lake in the Star Dou Great Forest, sleeping for tens of thousands of years while harboring a desire to avenge the Dragon God against the Asura God. 10

As ruler of the forest's Soul Beasts, Gu Yuena commanded Di Tian and initially ordered him to kill the wielder of the Asura God Sword. Her first encounter with Chi Xiu occurred when he unexpectedly appeared in her room beneath Star Lake. She nearly attacked him after he falsely claimed that the Dragon God had been resurrected, but he vanished before her claw could strike. 10 11

After recognizing Chi Xiu's Dragon God bloodline, Gu Yuena began calling him “Master” and submitted herself to him. She brought him to her hidden space beneath Star Lake and later accompanied him into the human world, becoming intensely attached to him. 14 20

Gu Yuena repeatedly intervened when Chi Xiu faced mortal threats. She killed Soul Douluo Zhang Wei after he attempted to harm Chi Xiu, protected Chi Xiu from Tang Xiao after the Clear Sky Sect battle, and later aided him against future-era Battle Armor soldiers. 34 116 311

While investigating disturbed Soul Beasts in the Star Dou Great Forest, Gu Yuena discovered that evil energy had stripped many of them of their sentience. Her investigation connected the phenomenon to Slaughter City and eventually led Chi Xiu and her to a blood pool containing fragmented souls; after Chi Xiu gathered the souls with the Asura Sword, Gu Yuena destroyed the pool. 93 101 205

Gu Yuena usually takes the form of a breathtakingly beautiful young woman with long silver-white hair and purple eyes that can shift into vertical dragon pupils. Her human form contrasts sharply with her true nature as a colossal Silver Dragon King. 11 17
