Zinnia immediately rode Salamence and hastened to Sky Pillar, which was likewise located in the nearby waters.

As a member of Meteor Village who had inherited her sister's role as the successor, she knew Sky Pillar very well. She had climbed to its summit alone many times, praying devoutly for the descent of the "Dragon that Controls the Sky," the Dragon God Rayquaza.

The Hoenn Region had suffered crises from beyond the heavens twice.

Once was the meteorite that had fallen at Meteor Falls two thousand years ago. The other was the meteorite that had fallen in Sootopolis City a thousand years ago.

After a thousand years of peace, Meteor Village, to which Zinnia belonged, had interpreted the mural prophecies to foretell that, in the modern age a thousand years later, a new meteorite would once again fall upon the Hoenn Region.

Moreover, its range of influence would no longer be limited to a certain area. The entire Hoenn Region would be affected by that prophesied colossal meteor and plunged into a crisis of destruction.

Zinnia was the "successor" passed down through generations by Meteor Village to deal with this crisis, bearing the responsibility of preventing the meteorite disaster.

She had one, and only one, task.

To gain the recognition of the Dragon that Controls the Sky, the Dragon God Rayquaza, whom Meteor Village had worshipped for generations.

So long as she earned its recognition and had it evolve into an even further form, it would possess the power to shatter that massive meteorite.
