Background

Early life

Nemona was targeted by kidnappers because of her family's wealth after she ran away from home. During her escape, a wild Pawmi bit through the rope binding her; the two subsequently became partners. 10 42

At Naranja Academy, she initially wore her hair in pigtails. By the opening ceremony of the new term, she had adopted a high ponytail and projected a noticeably more mature, energetic presence that even Arven struggled to recognize. 41 43

Training under Luo Mu

Nemona introduced Pawmi to Luo Mu and immediately asked him for a battle. Her first match, against Luo Mu's Growlithe, exposed Pawmi's inexperience with Thunder Shock, but also showed Nemona's natural battle sense: she recognized Pawmi's Iron Fist ability and used Mach Punch as their strongest option. 42 43

After early defeats, she actively sought Luo Mu's instruction. She learned Double Battles, began applying ability-based tactics, and independently proposed paralyzing Teddiursa with Pawmo's Nuzzle or Thunder Wave to activate Teddiursa's Quick Feet. 113 114

Journey and Champion Assessment

Nemona traveled through Paldea with Arven and Pippa, challenged the Gyms, and developed a six-Pokémon team. Her performance began drawing the attention of the Paldea League, which subjected her to increasingly demanding full-power Gym Leader battles. 404 423 505

To prepare for the Champion Assessment, she traveled to Hoenn with Zhen Si and Shizuka, clearing the Battle Frontier before returning to Paldea. 595 596

Life as Champion

Following her assessment, Nemona challenged Luo Mu to a Terastallized six-on-six battle in Mesagoza. Although she lost all six matches, she recognized that copying Luo Mu's tactics was not enough and began identifying her own battle style.
