Background / History
Pang Bo was originally an ordinary human from Earth and a classmate of Ye Fan and Fang Qing. He crossed into the Beidou world with their classmates and was among the first three—alongside Ye Fan and Fang Qing—to explore the ruins on Yinghuo. There, he acquired half of a Vajra Pestle and carried it with the Bronze Plaque. 8
After reaching Lingxu Grotto-Heaven, Pang Bo initially struggled more than Fang Qing and Ye Fan to comprehend the Dao Scripture. Fang Qing's Dragon-Elephant Prajna Skill suited him exceptionally well, however: its emphasis on immense strength and prajna wisdom improved both his body and his comprehension. 21 22
During the struggle for an Ancient Hall, Pang Bo appeared to have suffered Body Snatching, with green light in his eyes and demonic markings on his forehead. Even while seemingly possessed, he retained enough will to send seized treasures toward Ye Fan. 70
Pang Bo and Ye Fan later reunited with Fang Qing at Taixuan Sect, where Fang Qing brought them into Star Peak and shared the Source Heavenly Tome, Fighting Saint Method, All Character Secret, and cultivation resources. 104 106
Appearance
Pang Bo is repeatedly described as broad, imposing, and powerfully built. His cultivation path increasingly reinforces that naturally forceful presence. 103 149
- Broad and imposing build. 103
- His name and temperament are associated with grandeur, force, and an expansive bearing. 623
- During the Ancient Hall incident, green light flickered in his eyes and demonic markings appeared on his forehead. 70
Personality
Pang Bo is straightforward, boisterous, and outspoken. He is quick to voice admiration, irritation, or disbelief, whether he is praising Fang Qing's methods, mocking an enemy, or reacting to an overwhelming cultivation gap. 21 128 324
He is deeply loyal to Ye Fan and Fang Qing. Even while apparently controlled by another force, he prioritized delivering treasures to Ye Fan; later, he and Ye Fan brought Divine Fruits to Fang Qing in repayment for Fang Qing's earlier support. 70 105
Though he finds abstruse formations and profound texts difficult to follow, Pang Bo is persistent when he understands the stakes. He cultivated intensely after recognizing that weakness could easily mean death, eventually attaining the Dao despite beginning as an ordinary mortal. 213 107 623
