Background / History

The lower-realm Feather Transformation Sect is one of the Ten Immortal Dao Sects of the Xuanhuang Great World. The Dali Dynasty is one of its vassals, and outstanding mortal talents may seek entry as Outer Disciples after passing the sect’s assessment. New Outer Disciples receive Pine Crane Longevity Fist, Soaring Spirit Soft Bone Body, and Dragon Form Flying Tiger Steps. 625 626

Despite its standing, the sect is initially portrayed as materially poor compared with the Taiyi Sect. Its Inner Sect promotion requires completing one mission and surviving in the Heavenly Demon Battlefield, but the resulting rewards are limited. Disciples must frequently leave the mountain gate to seek opportunities, as ordinary sect resources are insufficient for sustained advancement. 628

Fang Qing’s rise changes this condition. After killing Golden Core elders of the Underground Demon Race and returning with Magic Crystal Jade mines, he is rewarded with Supreme Divine Ability manuals and privileged entry to the Small Immortal Realm. His achievements establish him as a major source of resources, protection, and advancement for the sect’s disciples. 638 646

The sect later discovers infiltration by the God Race. Fang Qing captures the infiltrators, while Fang Han’s World Tree identifies their nature; Feng Baiyu learns that the God Race is preparing a large-scale invasion of the Xuanhuang Great World. 657

After Fang Qing suppresses Hua Tiandu’s faction, he uses the Great Desolation Ancient Furnace, Pure Yang Qi, and accelerated time to cultivate the entire sect. The former resource shortage is overturned as disciples make mass breakthroughs and the sect’s elders enter the Longevity Realm. 688

Feng Baiyu subsequently abdicates, and Fang Qing becomes Sect Master. Under his leadership, the Feather Transformation Sect absorbs other Immortal Dao sects, accumulates Immortal Artifacts and Great Dao Divine Abilities, and becomes a central force against the God Race Calamity. 700 713 718

Heavenly Realm branch

The Feather Transformation Sect in the Heavenly Realm is located in Zhongzhou, Central Province. It is a King-grade sect with King-grade Spirit Veins and a prestigious selection process in which participants may fight to the death. 795

The lower-realm sect is recognized as orthodox because both branches trace their origin to Hua Tianjun. A lower-realm Sect Master who ascends may address the Heavenly Realm’s Sect Master as Senior Brother. 796

The Heavenly Realm branch is initially divided between Feather Emperor’s administration and the powerful Hua family faction, descendants of Hua Tianjun. After Fang Qing and Fang Han emerge, the Hua family’s experts are purged, allowing formerly suppressed disciples to benefit from the sect’s activated King-grade and Saint-grade Spirit Veins. 797 805 806
