This had also been He Ao's role in his third official instance.
He Ao's gaze continued across the remaining crowd. Some of the faces were familiar to him, appearing in Ander, Roy, and Regit's memories.
The heroic deeds of these people had, to varying degrees, been passed down throughout Dawn City and even the entire Federation. After their deaths, they had all been buried in Dumeier National Cemetery.
Of course, He Ao did not know most of them, but presumably their identities were similar: all heroes who had once rested in Dumeier National Cemetery.
However, not everyone He Ao knew to have been "buried" in Dumeier National Cemetery was here.
For example, Elunsk, Dawn City's first mayor, whose tomb occupied roughly a third of the cemetery's first level, did not appear here.
Most of the heroes from Dawn City's early history whom He Ao had seen buried in the first three levels were absent as well.

The Crystal Giant in the sky looked down at He Ao and laughed hoarsely. "Every one of those before me was once a hero whose remains or relics were buried in Dumeier National Cemetery. Naturally, they were also heroes who had defended Order and civilization."
