Endless meteors descended from the sky, carrying dazzling streaks of light as they smashed into the empty city.
Tower after tower was effortlessly ground flat, while the sturdy ground nearly melted beneath that scorching power in an instant.
Above the sky, the Crystal Giant standing amid countless meteors transformed in an instant into innumerable shattered crystal shards. Then, those shards slowly spread upward, downward, left, and right, opening in the blink of an eye into a glittering giant crystal net.
The instant the roaring meteors struck the crystal net, they trembled briefly, then rapidly turned into translucent crystal like ice dyed with color before shattering with a boom and flowing out through the gaps in the net.
The fierce meteors crashed between heaven and earth, yet seemed unable to damage the crystal net in the slightest, leaving only dense crystal fragments raining down like a storm.
Wherever those crystal fragments landed, whether on the molten earth or sturdy buildings, everything rapidly crystallized at a visible rate.
That invisible crystal was like some inexplicable contamination, swiftly infecting this vast and magnificent city.
