"What!?"
The Starlight Figure froze slightly, looking around at the world in surprise.
At some point, the world from his memories had been covered in swaying flowers and grass.
At the same time, beneath his feet, across a vast area, the entire world seemed to have "flipped," abruptly changing from a region covered in weeds, wildflowers, and crisscrossing cracks into a scorched black wasteland.
And upon that land, a massive Heptagram Array was emerging.
The ritual items familiar to him were neatly arranged atop that nearly standard Heptagram Array: textbooks, notebooks, fountain pens, briefcases, ink bottles, fragments of human skulls, and human finger bones.
His gaze instantly swept across the scorched land upon which the array had been drawn.
This land was the original land of this planet. It was his original battlefield.
His gaze also took in the swaying flowers and grass around him.
These flowers and grass did not belong to this world. Another world had been superimposed over this one?
No, it was some Transcendent Item capable of containing a world.
This battlefield had been completely replaced some time ago.
When?
As he looked at the black cracks spreading across the ground, he suddenly understood.
It had happened when the giant hand formed by Star Shadow came crashing down.
At that time, the vast hand had obscured both earth and sky. He had only noticed the hand in the sky, not the land beneath it.
The original "world" should have been replaced at that moment.
And afterward, the giant hand had detonated, wreaking extensive damage upon the terrain and creating these dense, deep cracks.
These cracks spreading across the land had naturally become a kind of "cover," making him instinctively feel that nothing had changed on the battlefield.
He had not truly paid attention to this place
