His expression changed.
He raised his head and looked at Wei Jinna. "The vault contains a large number of the Group's critical documents and items. It cannot possibly be opened to outsiders for a search."
Wei Jinna's expression turned cold at his words.
The street beneath the night sky fell into a standoff once more.
At that moment, He Ao smiled. "Isn't this easy? Director, you're only going in to find something. It's not like you don't know where it is."
He glanced at the Silver-Haired Old Man. "Old man, you know where your critical documents are too, right? Just have someone go in with her when the time comes. The Director is looking for evidence, not your confidential documents. Can't you just keep watch? Have a few tough guys stand nearby. What, are they going to snatch it from you by force?"
The Silver-Haired Old Man's expression shifted slightly at He Ao's words. He seemed somewhat hesitant.
Then Wei Jinna fell silent for a moment before saying slowly, "I know the exact area. I can search only that small section. You can come in with me. You can trust me—I won't touch anything unrelated to the case."
