"Dear," Jack said as he pushed open the door and looked at his wife sitting on the sofa watching TV. He asked, a little curious, "What's wrong?"

"You're back?" His wife glanced back at him. "How's the work at the Mecha factory?"

"I just started, so it's still pretty easy. The factory's basically all automated, so there isn't much for us to do." Jack took off his work uniform and hung it on the coat rack by the entrance. "Are you watching some TV show?"

"It's a live broadcast of a speech by Mayor Christos of Dawn City." His wife pointed at the man in silver formalwear standing in the rain curtain on the television.
