Chapter 1873: Situation (Big Chapter Seeking Monthly Ticket)
Whoosh—
Anke stepped down from the troop carrier, glanced at the parked vehicles, felt the Gauss pistol in his pocket, and entered the maze of narrow alleys.
The officer had not taken a headcount when they got out. He had gotten off shortly after entering the city, seemingly with a destination already in mind.
The driver had brought them here and told them to gather here tomorrow.
The sleeping mercenary was still asleep. Perhaps the driver would wake him eventually, but that had nothing to do with Anke.
Anke passed through the alleys and walked along the empty streets, letting the cold night wind brush across his face.
The passersby nearby deliberately avoided him when they saw his clothes, but he did not care. He raised his wristband and quickly operated it.
Soon, he exited the website and let out a long sigh of relief.
"Finished buying it?" He Ao asked with a smile.
"Finished," Anke nodded. "I bought a direct airship ticket from Ilotran to Visen, departing at two in the morning. A red-eye flight."
"What is a red-eye flight?" He Ao asked curiously.
"It's an airship departure in the middle of the night, the kind you have to stay up late to take. Those flights are usually pretty cheap," Anke explained after thinking for a moment. "Passengers stay up until their eyes turn red just to catch the flight, so it's called a red-eye flight."
He smiled. "A classmate told me that back when I was in school. I hadn't even left Visen then. He probably never imagined I'd remember it all this time."
"Sometimes, certain bits of information from one's youth stay with you for an entire lifetime for no apparent reason," He Ao said with a faint sigh.
