Having just walked over to the desk, Christos saw a sheet of paper lying on it.

"Last week's electricity bill."

The ponytailed man stood up. "Radiant Palace has used paper bills all these years. It was delivered today, and I happened to see it. I wanted to take a look, so I brought it over."

Christos picked up the paper and glanced at it. "Why is this bill twice as expensive as before? Did we have any particularly power-hungry projects last week?"

"They say a storm hit the Storm Sea, affecting Energy Ore extraction. Prices across the entire energy ore market went up."

The ponytailed man shrugged. "That ultimately drove up retail electricity prices."

"The first month of the year isn't even over, and the Storm Sea has already had two storms. Each time, prices rose even more than before."

Christos smiled and tossed the bill onto the desk. "What about the other suppliers?"

"They're all the same. Every supplier raised prices together."

The ponytailed man shrugged. "But doubling electricity prices outright... these power companies really are getting more shameless by the day. Apparently, they're planning to raise the base electricity price another 10% next month, citing the frequent storms in the Storm Sea."

He looked at Christos, who stood before the desk. "Over the past decade, the base electricity price has nearly doubled."

"Mm."

Christos plugged the hard drive in his hand into the computer beneath the desk and pulled up the files inside. He read through them while thinking.

After a while, he slowly picked up the bill on the desk and looked at the ponytailed man. "Do you think there's any chance that electricity prices could be capped by the Municipal Government, with the government participating in setting them?"
