Over the next few days, the Defense Association members continued to enthusiastically clear out the Inferi hidden in the forest under the leadership of Fred, George, Lee Jordan, and Cedric.
Although the initial excitement of destroying Inferi had faded, everyone remained highly motivated to clear them out after clearly feeling how rapidly their strength was improving.
This was far more interesting than staying at the Defense Association headquarters practicing spells. After learning how to deal with Inferi, they had hardly encountered any major trouble. While destroying them, they could even test some of their bolder ideas on the creatures, which brought everyone no small amount of enjoyment.
If Inferi had not been so hideous, many members would have wanted to eat, sleep, and fight Inferi all day.
After all, for safety reasons, they were clearly not allowed to leave the association headquarters rashly.
Other than their daily training and exchanging insights on spells, they could only pass the remaining time by playing Wizard Cards or Wizard's Chess. Some members had even learned to cook simple meals for themselves.
That was enough to show how badly cooped up they had become.
They needed an outlet.
During that time, the main group ran into a group of Dark Wizards who had come to investigate the area, and the two sides had nearly started fighting.
Just as the association members were rolling up their sleeves and preparing to call over the others to gang up on them, the Dark Wizards—perhaps having seen the fireworks in the sky—immediately lost their nerve. They turned tail and fled.
It could not be helped. It looked like an ambush no matter how they viewed it, and the Defense Association vastly outnumbered them. If they ran too slowly and got surrounded, they would not even have a chance
