Arc 49The Gathering War

As Voldemort’s plans against Scrimgeour and Dumbledore advanced, Albert prepared the Defense Association and the Ministry’s shelters for war while Harry pursued Slughorn’s memory and investigated Draco. The arc left Draco’s assassination plan unfinished as Bellatrix and Narcissa sought Liquid Luck and targeted Albert’s associates for information.

Arc 50Dumbledore’s Fall

Albert helps set a trap for the Death Eaters’ attack on Hogwarts, where Snape kills Dumbledore as part of Dumbledore’s plan. After the battle, Albert reveals Dumbledore’s final instructions and leaves for the summer while Voldemort orders the Malfoys to track him.

  • Albert learns that the Death Eaters are seeking Liquid Luck and warns Dumbledore that Narcissa Malfoy may use it to steal Slughorn’s supply.

After Voldemort seized control of the Ministry, Albert and the Order rescued prisoners and built a refuge for expelled Muggle-born students. As Harry prepared to resist Voldemort, a Seeker Squad attacked the Tobin family, showing that the new shelter could not keep everyone safe.

  • Scrimgeour died confronting Voldemort, and Gawain Robards led the Aurors away while the remaining wedding guests faced Voldemort alone.
  • Albert helped the Order rescue Arthur, Molly, and other captives from the ship bound for Azkaban, holding off Voldemort long enough for the escape.
