As Voldemort’s forces intensified their attacks and the Ministry targeted resistance families, Albert and the Defense Association prepared for betrayal and rescued imprisoned supporters. The arc ended with the rescued families sheltered at the resistance base, where some resisted being kept safe.

  • Voldemort killed wandmakers while Albert hoped the Dark Lord would seek Slytherin’s wand at Ilvermorny, and Ginny resolved to marry Harry despite his belief that he had to die to defeat Voldemort.

  • Mr. Thompson left the shelter to find his wife, but Voldemort captured and killed him and Kevin after using Legilimency to learn the Association was based in an abandoned village.
  • Voldemort attacked the village headquarters, but the Association’s anti-flight magic brought down the Death Eaters and its members helped defeat Voldemort’s forces before retreating to a new base.
  • Albert returned after the battle, and the Association let the wizarding world believe it had been destroyed while Wizard Watchtower broadcasts announced its safe withdrawal.
