Grave Universe.
Su Yun followed a Dao Lord who had come to receive him onward. The Dao Lord had a peculiar appearance—though he possessed Dao Bone and immortal bearing, he had a goat's face, a white beard, two horns growing from his head, and vertical pupils.
He was tall and slender, holding a Fly Whisk over the crook of his arm, with a small braid tied at the back of his head. Though he was a Dao Lord, he did not put on the slightest airs and treated Su Yun with courtesy.
The two conversed in Dao Language. The goat-faced Dao Lord called himself Dao Lord Qiu Ze, the ruler of a universe that Grave had devoured. Dao Lord Qiu Ze was astonished that Su Yun understood Dao Language and could converse with him without impediment, clicking his tongue in wonder.
Dao Language could reveal the depth of a person's cultivation. The Dao Language Su Yun used encompassed all manner of Great Daos; he could readily express his meaning through every kind of Daoist Magic, smoothly and without obstruction. Even Dao Lord Qiu Ze was greatly impressed, thinking, This man must be that being's disciple!
Su Yun asked, "Dao Brother, Grave devoured your universe. Do you bear no hatred in your heart?"
Dao Lord Qiu Ze chuckled. "Hatred? I had it once. But after joining Grave and becoming one of its members, how could I hate myself? Besides, before my universe was annexed, it was already on the brink of destruction. Even I could not preserve it from the calamity of annihilation. Perhaps I alone might have survived by chance, but all living beings would surely have perished. Grave's invasion instead saved some people and allowed my universe's civilization to be passed down."
