Yet when Sirius Black was wanted, both Muggle and wizarding media had covered the news. To wizards, a criminal escaping from Azkaban was far more serious than a tsunami on the other side of the world that had killed tens of thousands.

The Werewolves who had set fire to Kensington last time had also been imprisoned in Azkaban. Their crimes, however, had not been grave enough to warrant life sentences like Bella, Fenrir, and their lot, so they had been released.

They were Werewolves to begin with and had criminal records, making it even more impossible for them to find work. Arson and robbing Muggles were practically routine for them, though doing so risked exposing wizarding society.

Today, Pomona had eaten a Chocolate Frog and collected a card of Carlotta Pinkstone. At the beginning of the twentieth century, this witch had argued that the Statute of Secrecy should be abolished and that it would be more convenient for Muggles and wizards to live together, so she often used magic in public.

Pomona shook her head, drew her wand, and cast Incendio on the card. Then, while eating her Chocolate Frog, she walked along the streets of Diagon Alley.

The passing wizards paid no attention to the magic she had just used. Everyone remained busy with their work and lives.

Entering that sinkhole required thorough preparations. Pomona intended to retrieve the greenhouse Severus had given her from the Malfoy family.
