"I want Coke!" Yang Felix declared fiercely from one side of the dining table.
"Wizards drink pumpkin juice." Pomona shouted back from the other side of the table, refusing to yield in the slightest. "Besides, Muggles don't make a habit of drinking Coke first thing in the morning."
"That's nonsense. Kids I know drink Coke in the morning."
"Make things up all you want, sir. I'm not some ordinary wizard who doesn't know how Muggles live!"
"Morning." Severus, who had just returned from a run, kissed Pomona's cheek, carrying with him the smell of sweat and forest mist.
"Where's the jam I asked for?"
Severus placed a paper-wrapped packet of strawberry jam on the table.
"You'll get fat if you drink too much Coke!" Pomona said, looking at Severus's newly restored normal waistline. "No girl likes a short, fat boy!"
Felix was so furious that he was left speechless. In the end, he sat at the table and tore into his bread like a wild beast.
Pomona followed Severus out of the dining room.
"How does it feel to go running in the Alps?" she asked foolishly.
"Very nice. You could try it too."
"Hahaha, aside from Quidditch players, have you ever seen a Hufflepuff go jogging in the morning?"
"Do those girls chasing after Viktor count?"
Pomona was rendered speechless by the old bat's question.
Viktor had a habit of running around the Black Lake in the mornings, and the girls got up at dawn to run after him.
Even without the title of Salvator Mundi, Harry was hardly without appeal. Pomona had once overheard girls in the greenhouse commenting that he looked "sexy" after getting off his broom, all flushed from exercise.
Draco, that handsome boy so thin his ribs showed, had plenty of girls who liked him.
