The Cavern Club did not charge admission every day, but only Saturdays featured The Beatles. On other days, obscure bands performed there, hoping to get as lucky as those four lads with identical haircuts.

Unfortunately, today was not a Beatles day. Pomona had just bought a pair of Beatles boots, and naturally she wanted to listen to Beatles music. Fortunately, Liverpool had no shortage of record shops, so she found one, put on her headphones, and vigorously "kicked her boots" to break them in.
